Trainspotting.

Very dark at times but some classic moments like the bed sheets covered in shit going everywhere, Begbie being a total nutcase and Tommy's porn video with his girlfriend going missing.

Along with Mesrine, quite possibly THE greatest film of all time.

Seen as everyone else is listing more than one:

Castaway - I love Tom Hanks in this, really gets me.
Football Factory - Controversial i know but i think the casting is genius (pwopa nowty)
Ace Ventura - Jim Carrey is a legend
Home Alone 1 & 2 - All time fav Christmas films
Ali G & Borat - Sacha Baron Cohen is hilarious IMO

Im waiting for smeariestbat to come along and name a load of Disney films - pwopa nowty mate

I love 'Football Factory,, Nick Love is a true genius, 'The Business' is superb thank god for Danny Dyer and Tamer Hassan. Actually just booked tickets for the first showing of his new movie 'The Sweeney' a few minutes ago, opens on the 12th

Tough question as it really depends upon my mood, but here's a handful of favourites (in no particular order):

Gran Torino
Pulp Fiction
The Big Blue
Wall-E
Leon
Amelie
Anchorman!

How could I forget.... Human Traffic! Not exactly a cinematic masterpiece, but I love it all the same

The minute I saw the OP's favourite film I knew this thread was gonna be choc full of shit films.

I couldn't pick a favourite film as I have favourites in all genres from Trains Planes and Automobiles to The Return to The Beat That My heart Skipped via about a thousand other films.

Harvey is almost my favourite film at times.

There are some serious babes in Battle Royale. Give me a Japanese fillie in a schoolgirl outfit any day of the week (see also Kill Bill)

Just for you Cheeky: Chiaki Kuriyama, one of the stars of both.
