the toon are far better under keegan that they were under 'big sam'

thats a general FACT

They were 10th I believe when Sam was sacked and the club was being OVERHAULED and dragged into the 21st century.

Now it has survived a relegation scrap and Keegan seems to have fallen out with his boss.

MUCH better...

they were 10th yes but on a downward spiral, that position owed much to the first few games of the season

he was trying to play the same system as he did with bolton, but with totally different players, hence they were shit, he signed some utter TURDS aswell

not watched any football for the last 6 weeks or so then? newcastle have been pretty good, keegan has got owen back on form and its all looking GOOD

Yeah, REALLY good considering Keegan et al have a clear the air meeting tomorrow amid rumours the BOSS is sick of him already.

Well, I would unhesitatingly say Micky was the best Brighton manager for 20 years given how he started with a shoddy shower that were lucky to stay in the league, and totally built a team that eventually reached the Championship.

But this is a big call from Knight, 7th was not at all bad this season and Wilkins has done OK. I'm certainly not judging him based on the comments of a few disillusioned players who have been let go.

I wonder if there have been some arguments behind the scenes over all these players being released, because in that Argus piece with Reid he seems to be (wrongly) blaming Wilkins for the delay, while Wilkins is (correctly) pointing out that it is the board who have the final say on contracts.

that was just down to something he said in the press

NOTHING to do with how they've been playing

especially as mike ashley has his f***ing name on his replica shirt

these 'clear the air talks' are a bit of a non-story to be honest

He got that shirt printed when he announced him as manager. Hardly CONCRETE evidence that all is harmonious MONTHS down the line is it?

WIDEN that little bit of context out to the whole time he has been in charge this time round and his record is not so good is it?

hmm, yeah, it took him a while to get going, so what? the club was in a right mess and he had to turn them round from playing 'big sams' way to a system that gets results

which he has done

got results that is

because he's doing a good job

what you gonna pick on next?:)

Keegan made Newcastle a LAUGHING stock and then was saved by Owen's return to form and Viduka coming back from injury.

That and a few games against teams with pretty much NOTHING to play for...

Alex Ferguson was going to retire and did a u turn. He went back and is doing ok. Perhaps Micky Adams regrets leaving. Anyone who isn't happy at his return, just think back to the moment he said he was leaving and think how you felt then. Peter Taylor got no praise because he did it with "Micky's" team. He turned the club around and will now be planning for Falmer, something he couldn't do before. I know the saying "never go back" but why not if he is the best man for the job ?
Keep the faith.

Well at least this time the manager has been replaced with plenty of time for the new one to prepare before the season starts. Also, the clearout of unwanted players seems almost complete. I'm really pleased to see Mickey given a chance to build a new double promotion winning side again.:lolol:

owen got back to form when keegan changed the system

allardyce was playing long ball shit which wasn't working as newcastle don't have any players of that ilk (bolton players), he tried to change the culture at the club and it was never, EVER going to work

keegan came in, changed the system, it took a while to get used to, and now its paid off, owen has come back into form since newcastle started playing on the deck attacking football, coincidence? owen came back into form when keegan essentially RE-INVENTED him as an almost 'in the hole' type striker

i fail to see how you think he's doing a bad job? surely any manager who's just won 6 in 7 would have lyrical waxed all over them

but i guess if it proves your point that you think adams will be shit its worth it eh?
