Adrian Bunting was a guiding light in the city’s arts scene. Creator of the legendary performance platform ZINCBAR, he believed passionately in the power of theatre. His play, Kemble's Riot, won Best Play at Brighton Fringe Festival 2011. Adrian was also a buildings project manager, working on the refurbishment of Brighton Dome. In April he was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. His last wish was to establish an open air theatre for the city he loved. When he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, he spent the last few weeks of his life realising a long held dream for a new state-of-the-art, open air theatre for Brighton, called the BOAT - Brighton Open Air Theatre.
