Sorry to see you leave Ali always came across a really nice person a few glimpses of what he could offer especially towards the end of last season but if he wants game time then we have a number of players in his position in front of him so a move makes sense, good luck Ali and thank you for that great overhead goal

Shame it didn’t quite work out. A square peg in a Potterball round hole.

He’ll go down in history as scorer of one of the best goals ever at the Amex soccerballs arena though.

Potter's generic comments:

"very good professional and great to work with, but this move is a good one".

In other words a good lad who didn't moan about bench warming (too much) but was ultimately never going to be good enough to be a first team regular. As I've been saying for two or three years.

@GB was/is a good judge.

Two goals and one assist in the Premier League.

By comparison Locadia has three goals and one assist. https://www.premierleague.com/players/7124/player/stats

Its probably what unwanted players will be sold for this summer. Covid might not have had a huge effect on the fees of the best players but everything else is likely to be much cheaper. Would surprise me if the club gets anything for a player like Shane Duffy, unfortunately.

It’s mad, Pröpper went on a free, Locadia almost certainly will. I hope we can rummage the Barcelona fire sale bargain bin.

I think to get £1 million for AJ is great business for the club. He'd of been one of our biggest earners, and apart from that goal, never done anything. Top attitude, but when it mattered, he failed to deceive.

I don't think we will be so lucky with that DJ though, maybe we'll have to pay someone to take him off us.

So he wanted to deceive, but wasn't able to do so?

It has been almost 10 years, but the successor to the great John Vinicombe finally emerges

The £26m total investment was not worth an overhead kick goal that sealed a mid-season home draw.

It was, at the time. Remember the excitement?

Didn't work out. BHA don't own a retrospectroscope or Tardis though. I don't see an obvious error.

I'm not going to call for heads to roll.

Hope you're enjoying the weather, life and times.

Happy enough with that. Very surprised any sort of fee was involved, really. The key thing was losing hefty wages off the bill for a fringe player who never looked like making it with consistent performances.

I just hope we aren't subsidising his pay in order to leave. I hate the idea of paying for someone else's player.

No calling for heads here .

EVERY club makes costly buys that don’t work out (even Leicester with Slimani, Liverpool with Keita).

Locadia/Jahanbakhsh more than outweighed by all of Paul Winstanley’s successes. The proof - since his appointment at the beginning of 2015, on the 6th highest budget we got promoted and squads he helped create have kept us in the EPL for 5 seasons.

Everyone knows I meant flattered to deceive. Frankly, I could think of better ways to spend my Saturday evening then trying to flout how educated I am on the Internet. Or any other day when it comes to you.
