Well said.Well I never thought the day would come I was hoping we’d keep getting the ball to Ali J but it has!
Great first half and outstanding goal, so pleased for him.

I'm pleased for him, but he's still provided enough evidence of why he's not a shoe in for the first team.

I think so, but like you say maybe this is down to match rustiness. I hope those hordes of sycophantic Iranians are right and that this is just the beginning.Did he? There were some times where he seemed rusty from lack of game time but overall seemed much more confident, with excellent first touch and control of balls from long passes, better movement off the ball than we've seen before, and pushing forward earning several corners and deep throws. To me he, Mooy and Bissouma did much more today than Trossard, for example.
All in all, I can happily now say:
BRIGHTON HAS WON EVERY GAME IN THEIR HISTORY WHEN ALIREZA JAHANBAKHSH HAS SCORED A GOAL!!!!
Eloquent, intelligent and unassuming in his post match interview. Good for him, he’ll take a lot of confidence from this, which is everything.
A necessary turn for him and Trossard today. The goal has to make such a difference to Ali, but after the sweet assist from Leandro he began to be excellently expressive. I want him like that through games, spraying passes with nerve nerveless abandon.
I thought he was very good today. Not only the goal, he wanted the ball and was a constant threat, outshone Trossard I thought, and had Mooy not been so outstanding, I’d have had him motm. A brilliant turnaround from him today.
