Perhaps we need to start muscling in on a few other clubs deals. Play a little harder and start gazumping.

Well said. Are we just too 'nice'?

Did you really expect anything less? Just be grateful that season ticket prices weren't increased.

Well, yes, I did... we've updated the Recruitment set-up for a reason...

Watching Albion trying to seal a deal is like watching a tortoise run one-hundred metres, only to see the creature expire with the tape in sight.

On the plus side at least you won't have to make up a song about him , it would have been a nightmare .

Very disappointing if we can't seal the deal on a player who's hardly world recognised, with the quality of our stadium and training facilities and the fact Brighton isn't a bad place to live. This lad must be bloody good if him or his agent thinks they can 'yank our chain' whilst trying to hold out for a better deal. Guess we'll never know how much of this is down to the agent or the player. Either way, this lad must a very high opinion of where he thinks he should be playing.

Another point. Frankly, given the way this chap and his agent are going about their business this Summer, we may be best off without him.

Imagine he comes in and does well. We'd be on the receiving end of this shambles a year from now as he is hawked around the Premier League looking for another move.

Interesting point but that would be from a negative.
If he came in and did well we'd probably make a fair amount of money on him short-term, and hopefully be high enough in the table to attract similar on his sale. He looks (albeit from afar) mustard and it only takes one good season to get out of this league.
I can't see any positive in missing out on him, there'll be others in the long summer ahead but it's a disappointment.

Which reminds me, does anyone know how Solly is getting on with his injury?

Somebody posted on The Argus website that Crofts, Baldock and March are fit and raring to go.

So we've made an offer which has been accepted by his club. Personal terms have been proposed without being rejected. But he's said "can you put your Summer on hold and wait four weeks while I try and get a better offer". We've laughed in his agent's face and told them to get lost. Where's the problem?

I guess we should have offered him a gazillion pounds and told him we'll build a team around him. It worked brilliantly with CMS after all.

Brighton factually.....
From News Now.... Yesterday....

The 21-year-old winger was subject to a £1.2 million bid from Brighton after a stunning season where he managed to score 13 times and provide 18 assists for NEC last season.
However, their chances of signing the Iranian winger are not gone, as they demanded a quick answer from him, but he wasn’t willing to sign for the club on such short notice, and if Chris Hughton decides to wait longer, he can still get his man.

He’s also been linked with a move to Scottish Premiership champions Celtic as well as newly promoted Premier League side Norwich City. He had previously been touted to join Dutch champions PSV.
It’s a large amount Brighton are willing to shell out, and he could be their marquee signing going into next season as they rebuild their squad for next year.

I've got a sneeky feeling he'll sign for us.

sounds as if the transfer fee has obviously been accepted and that the wage offer is worthy of his ability. All depends now on the other intrested teams being able to put in better offers.

I bet we'll win this one.

Brighton / Hove actually
He has had at least 3 days to think about it so if he is still interested he can call the club on Monday. His options are bench at Norwich, if they really want him that badly?, or out of the public eye at Celtic
