Northern Hemisphere.
He has had at least 3 days to think about it so if he is still interested he can call the club on Monday. His options are bench at Norwich, if they really want him that badly?, or out of the public eye at Celtic

Would he even get into the Norwich team?

I thought Norwich were pretty rich in wingers.

No, his options currently are stay where he is or join us. No-one else has made an offer. All the other "links" are his agent trying to get him a better deal elsewhere.

Break the bank, he's going to increase in value. These are the players we should be spending big on. 20k a week is 1 million a year in wages, so if we pay £1 and pay 3 years of wages we only need to sell for £4m to get out money back and I think he'd go for that. 18 assists and 13 goals is crazy for a 21 year old.

Yep he can stay where he is if he wants but his primary goal is to play in the Prem. The quickest way to do that is to showcase himself in the Championship. There is no easy route to the Prem, players have to earn it. It’s his choice either way.

I'd imagine his agent has been in contact with several clubs who've thus far neglected to make an offer. Throwing money at him isn't the answer - from those comments it's probably fair to say that all parties have agreed on salary etc so they appear to be holding out for a better offer. PSV and Anderlecht are both rumoured to be monitoring the situation which would both mean European football for him. He may well be a 2nd or 3rd choice target for them or he may be waiting for someone to move out of those clubs so he can take their place. Cant blame money for this one.

Given that we're showing keen interest in other wingers now, would be interesting to know if / where James McClean appeared on the list of potential targets. He has just gone to West Brom for £1.5m, so a move for him is now out of the question but if he was a 'potential target' could be one of the reasons why deadlines for deals are being set / hurried along.

Do the recruitment team work 7 days a week at this time of year? Paul Barber would certainly respond if his agent called or emailed on a Sat or Sun!

It is, and there is one of him at the training ground. However, the captions (using google translate) said that he turned us down as he didn't feel like we gave him enough time to make a decision, and the Championship is too physical for his style of play. Something along those lines anyway.

Fine. He can bugger off then and stop wasting our time.

So Jahanbakhsh told an iranian newspaper today in an interview that it was national team coach, Carlos Queiroz, that advised him not to go to Brighton.
