He has been transferred to The Shed End on a permanent. Posts as Swedish Entity. Will be banned soon I imagine.
Surely he doesn't still post there now that Potter has gone? Wasn't he quite clear that he didn't like Chelsea and was only stomaching it as he wanted to see how Potter got on?

On the contrary, in true Swansman style, he's written a massive post after we beat them to rub their noses in it and tell them what a terribly run club Chelsea are.

An exciting player in league 1 maybe. But his ball control would have let him down playing for some of the better teams in that league.
Probably the worst of our EPL signings?
Jurgen Locadia?

Player not being picked unhappy with the manager - shock news.
It doesn't sound exactly like he was unhappy just for not being picked, rather he was unhappy being continually told he was important but also never picked. But that's just one side of the story.

Do you have a link to this? I'm curious to see how the Chelsea fans responded. I'm sure very reasonably...

Even at the time the quotes didn't match up. Whatever you felt about Alireza, he didn't get a run in the team despite Potter praising his training performances and attitude.

Killed Bournemouth at home in the last game of 2019 then scored the wonderful overhead equaliser against Chelsea on NYD 2020 - Didn't start another PL home game for almost a year after that (Arsenal 29/12/21). He was clearly given some form of assurance that it was worth his time staying at the Albion and for whatever reason the promise was broken.

This is the bit that always confused me. I understand why a lot of people didn't particularly rate him - he was weak physically and didn't seem quite up to it, even though I always felt there was some raw talent and technique in there.

But this moment - he absolutely bossed that Bournemouth game and then the overhead just a few days later - I was sure he would finally get a run in the team. He was playing easily his best football during his time with us.

What happened at that point?

AJ is obviously disappointed with the mixed messages however he is contractually obliged to be available as needed during the season. I would say Potter is right not letting go on holiday if not in the provisional squad in case there was a last minute injury and he was needed.

He of course has a choice tell AJ he’s important that’s why the request was rejected or tell him no just in case there’s an injury.

Potters gone for the less confrontational option but accepting it may come back in the future.

I might tell my boss as I’m not needed at committee this month I’ll use the time to go and play golf

Maybe it was just a one off with Potter telling Jahanbakhsh he cant go on holiday, which is obviously reasonable.

However, reading the tweet it seems more like Jahanbakhsh felt as though Potter was continually stringing him along, with the holiday / family visit request, in that scenario, not quite the same as saying you want to play a round of golf.

I'm all over this thread agreeing that Jahanbakhsh wasn't good enough / suitable enough for the Premier League. 100%. I'm just surprised at how a guy with basically a Masters in dealing with people handled players who were difficult. Let's face it, it's not just AJ. You've got Connolly picked, dropped, loaned, picked, dropped loaned. You've got March constantly played out of position who, it turns out, is an incredibly good footballer when played in position. You've got Ferguson never played (perhaps a supposed lesson learned from Connolly?). Difficult problems but ones he was supposedly educated to deal with.

Especially as that is literally a big part of the job for a manager/head coach. It's not some small side concern but one of the core elements of it.

Does he stick to football on there, or does he go off on tangents to derail pretty much EVERY thread whether it's about Chelsea or not?

He’s back on here mind you, under a different name, keeping a low profile but has posted several very telling messages with the same prose and verbiage. All football related, so don’t really care.

Incidentally, he’s not actually Swedish. I found his Reddit account a while back (since made private when I shared a few tidbits a few months ago) - he is English but has lived in Sweden a long time. Was worried about losing his citizenship after splitting up with an ex.

His antisemitic rant was disgraceful and was finally, rightfully banned.

This is the last time I’ll mention him, as even in absentia he is dominating proceedings again. It’s over, he’s gone. Let’s enjoy all the quality posters here, like @hart's shirt, @jackalbion, Bozza, @Simster and the rest.

Just a thought, . . . . On his day he was good enough, unfortunately he only had 2 or 3 . . . .plenty of people on here said the same about Solly, for years.

I wonder what RDZ could have got from him . . .
Pretty much my thoughts too. I don 't think he was too far off the pace, and did put in a few good performances, including scoring with that amazing overhead kick of course.

He didn't really get a long enough run of games to prove his consistency, but thnm modern day Premier League football is like that now.

And yes, if he was prepared to put in the hard graft, then l think RDZ could have golt more from him.

If both teams progress then Ali J and Feyenoord will face USG in the semi finals. The draw was made at the same time as the QF draw.

Always felt there was potentially a player in Alireza and he showed glimpses but he never started more than 2 PL games in a row for us so must have been very hard for him to get up to speed when you are in an out of the team like that. He seems like a decent bloke though so glad he’s doing well elsewhere.
Exactly, every player needs a run of games to gain full match fitness and show what he is capable of, not just the odd cameo role here and there.

Any new signing needs almost as much luck as ability to make it at a new club these days.

He is absolutely Swedish, that I can tell you. I think perhaps you stumbled on somebody who may resemble him but isn't actually him.
