I do drink(not much) but find the drinking culture at football very dated and sad and i'm not sure why it goes hand in hand with football?
One less in the queue at the bar then! Thread closed

Bearing in mind a key part of the stadium business plan is the revenue generated by the Cardinal's drinking spend, it is paramount that cider at least, is served in the ground.
Booze and fags seem to be the staple diet of a huge swath of our society but we allow it because we make huge amounts out of it,does this make it right?
A sports club like the albion could take the initiative on this one and promote a healthy lifestyle to the community,i for one would applaude this What about healthy food outlets instead of the burger/pie/chips mush thats on offer
I was at Pride Park a couple of years ago, when the smoking ban came in, they let smokers out of the stadium at half time.
I thought this was an excellent idea, seeing as i am a smoker. Nobody else is even interested in going outside at half time, so you are not affecting anyone else.
It also stops the toilets from becoming a smokers den!
Maybe the Albion should consider this instead of joining the ban culture.

Rev,are you taking the mickey or something?
Booze and fags are not the staple diet of huge swathes of society. Many people do not smoke at all and most people drink responsibly. Are you saying that if 'huge amounts' of money were not made(by the Government,I assume you mean)then we would not tolerate such 'nasty habits'?
What has happened to freedom of choice and personal responsibility in the land of the Rev?You won't HAVE to drink yourself into a stupor or stuff yourself with pies at Falmer.I would be all in favour of healthy food being available at the stadium, but give people a choice as to whether they buy that or the pies!If you don't want alcohol,I am sure tea, coffee and soft drinks will all be available too!

At Rovers they had a smoking area in the ground. That'd be my vote.
I don't know the wording of the law, but that sounds illegal to me.
WTF! so the away fans arn't going to be in the groundSurely if people are drinking in the ground, away from the away fans, then it would reduce the possibility of violence?
Thats a good point lets hope the inforce the no smoking in the toilets, last few away games the stink of the toilets has been increased with the smoke HAD TO HANG MY JACKET ON THE LINE AFTER WATFORD AND B'MUFFi was at pride park a couple of years ago, when the smoking ban came in, they let smokers out of the stadium at half time.
