Don't even attempt to use that website from your phone. The mobile version is naff and never has the latest news on there, and the desktop version doesn't actually let you CLICK on the headlines. You have to click on the pictures, and when you do, you rarely get the news article you want.

Shambles of a website, and I for one only visit for tickets now, whereas I used to visit a couple of times a day.

I know for a fact that the Albion are trying to lead the way to bring about changes that will give fans a usable site.

It's interesting to see that Derby have created their own spin-off site for all transactional functions that is largely clean and uncluttered - WeAreDerby - Official Fan Site of Derby County Football Club It's far, far nicer than their official site which runs on the same template as ours - HOME PAGE

Have a seperate shortcuts to the ecash top up and ticket buying sites so I don't ever have to use the horrendous main site anymore. It's sluggish, unreliable and just pointless really.

Aye, the actual written content is often misleading, misses out key points, and as for the grammar and spelling...

The official site hasn't been the same since the "one size fits all" websites first arrived.

Prior to that, ours was one of the best in the league. Now, all clubs have awful websites. Isn't there a get-out clause?

As a major part any Companies Marketing Information and Revenue stream, a user friendly, literate, functional website is an absolute must. Particularly given the clammer for instant information and communication this must be a priority for BHAFC.
I must admit i thought it was me being a luddite....that i hadn't set something up correctly in my browser or something, but quite clearly looking at the comments on here i am not alone. Also their is just no excuse for the poor proof reading of the text. Thats just basic housekeeping.
Bozza - would you know are the Club aware of the strength of feeling?......it should be a 'go to' page for every BHA fan. instead it is an 'avoid at all costs' job.

The club wouldn't announce the news on the website until the deal was 100% signed and completed. Just because there were photos of him at the Amex doesn´t mean the deal was done; imagine the uproar on here if they announced it only to have to unnanounce it shortly afterwards because something had gone wrong. Don`t forget the Vicente deal wasn´t finalised until he got to the airport when he signed the contract, some time after he left the Amex.

But I do agree the official site is awful!

There was a photo of Spanish Len in the TV studio at The Amex doing an interview circulating on Twitter several hours before the official announcement was made on seagulls.co.uk

I believe Football League Interactive and SapientNitro have 86 football clubs tied into a 5 year deal on the website front.

It is a truly awful website.

They're lucky that they don't need to do much proactive selling because the club basically sells itself in spite of the dreadful website. If they were relying on that thing to drive sales and traffic they would be completely f***ed.

Utter utter shit

Don't the Albion have a slight problem as WeAreBrighton.com is already up and running as a fan website ???

It is truly a hopeless mess!

Wasn't that nice Mr Barber brought in to promote and market the club, and of course, maximise the shinies?

So is he earning his corn if he is employing/contracting with incompetent numpties who don't even know how to use spellcheck?

I NEVER bother with the official site; it's an embarrassment.

Please tell me that this post was an ironic reference to the club's proof-reading standards.

I admit it's not the best website I've had the pleasure of using BUT I have to say it's much better than the old one. Do people not remember how cluttered and difficult to navigate the old site was?

Can't see that at all. The new site is unusable. I go there to log onto player and that is it. If I could do that another way I would.

And how many people writing here have sent a complaint to the Albion? From what I can see, fans of most other clubs are equally unhapppy with this contractually-obligated, car-crash of a website template. In time, the usage statistics will tell their own story, and perhaps change will happen..

But how on earth did it ever get accepted by the Football League? They - and we - seem to have been regally mugged by the Azure of the web design industry.

Yes they are, and are actively petitioning the FL for changes, something I am loosely involved with.

The name is irrelevant. The point is Derby have developed and deployed an alternative clutter-free site to help fans who so despise the official effort.
