Haha. So let me get this straight.

Whing - gives a way a dumb penalty - 6
Elph & Tunni - solid all game, didn't give Lambert a sniff - 5

Cox - alright, played well, setup a goal, but lasted 70 odd mins - 7
Murray - two goals, great all round play for 90 mins - 5

Brilliant. Just brilliant.

So Connolly played better than Murray?

And their keeper better than ours?

Yeah, right.

I don't know why local papers bother scoring the other team, nobody in scumland would be interested (excepting your good self HKFC).

This in a paper reporting that the Scum's own manager confessed we were the better team.

And I thought Insider was one-eyed in his SCR summarising.

In fairness to Simon Walter, who wrote the match report, I can't believe that the ratings are actually his, given that amongst other bits, he writes;

Andrew Crofts orchestrated the exquisite opening goal....excellent cross turned in by the clinical Glenn Murray, ...Saints were carved open time and again by the duo, who must rival Lambert and Connolly as the best strike partnership in League 1. etc.

How one eyed ! the Saints ratings would seem to indicate that THEY had won the game rather than be on the wrong end of a 3-1 home mauling :dunce:

As I say, ratings aside, the report is very fair.

Saints fans comments are mostly generous too;

"Hats off to Brighton. Came with a game plan and executed it perfectly"

"Wish we had Elphick. He's bossed their back line, and cleaned us up today"

"Didn't see that coming. Hats off to Brighton - they played very well"

"Brighton deserved the win, over a side that just didn't show up"

etc..

I had forgotten Schneiderlin was even playing until the last quarter of an hour - and he got a 7 :facepalm:

Their keeper did play quite well (good save from Crofts) but Kuipers deserved a better mark.
