I’m assuming nsc would also give up details if someone from the club complained about stuff on here ?
So when the club write something and “we” turn around and say “more barber bullshit “ and he takes offence will that b the end of social media and nsc ? Just asking for a “friend”

I doubt it, and from other posts it appears the comment was nothing like that.

Let's be clear: if it comes down to me being in court facing financial ruin for something someone I don't know has written on here, or the person who wrote it being in court, themselves then I'd much prefer the latter. I'll not apologise for that.

However there are, of course, legalities when it comes to the data NSC holds. It can't just be given out because someone has asked for it.

Under Tony Bloom's stewardship, the Albion have been, and remain, a progressive club. It's been clear for some time that as part of that, the club have been demonstrating a willingness to tackle unsociable behaviour from fans wherever it takes place. "It was just bantz on twitter" is not an excuse that is going to wash.

I sometimes take action on stuff written on here both to protect NSCers from themselves, but also to protect me from any potential legal issues. I don't want me and/or an NSCer to be up in court because of something written on here. Thankfully this doesn't have to happen very often. NSC is not the Wild West of twitter.

Ill pass that on to my friend thanx
Obviously anything that causes hurt or pain racial or otherwise is unacceptable in this day and age just wondering that the line not to cross is getting smaller and smaller by the day

I must do everything within my power to protect and enhance the good name of the club in any way or through any means at all times!? **** off! That is absolute nonsense. Reads like something out of a cult.
It may well do, but does it actually effect you, anyone you are related too or anyone you know?

The club have put a safeguard in place to stop f**kwittery in it's name, what's the problem?

I've said it once and I say it again, a certain number on social media and on here will not rest until we all act like we are at a snooker match.

Sit there silent and never say anything, and clap every now and again.

As we don't know what was said or to who, then is difficult to know if the five game ban is correct or draconian. But if it's an offence to say something to someones face, then it should be the same if it is typed online. Hopefully the person realises he/her has been a silly billy, think more before they type on a keyboard. After five games they can comeback and get on with their lives, a little wiser.

I assume it was the comment on twitter in which the poster decided to use the name of a respected dead player as a way of describing how poor he felt the draw was.

eg 'The draw is really *name of player*' - or similar.

It made little sense grammatically, obviously caused offence, was very poor taste, and was unnecessary and unwise for sure.

Complaints were made to OfficialBHAFC about it.

Of course, maybe all this is about a different post.

I've seen references to that this morning, so I think you could be right. Bizarre.

There was a Twitter post that was very vague but mentioned the name of a certain iconic wba player from the past. Someone took offence, saw offence in it and started a quest. They write to bha and wba demanding action but the post was so utterly vague that it was hard to find any offence in it.

If it was that then god help us (if there was actually a god and if that god was at all bothered).

Open season on seeing/interpreting offence from bha fans now. Getting them banned only takes a complaint now? Sad.

Writing who knows what is a five game ban

This is where the club could do better. NSC , for example, has a moderators thread explaining promptly if and why users are suspended/banned and for how long, which is transparent and helps other users understand boundaries.

I'd recommend they offer more details as to why / how they determined the ban, the severity of the offending post (avoiding personal details) and how mitigating action (promptly deleting the post, apologising) impacts on punishment to avoid threads like this where people are fretting about whether NSC posts saying "Barber is a this or that" will get them collared.
And what is the process for appealing. Why 5 games not 1 or 15 ?

You'd hope that it might as well curb repeats of such behaviour.

You wait til they discover the porn you’ve been watching. We’ll all be banned!

Also, I was thinking of booking Dicks Bar for a Jerry Sadowitz night. Better rethink that one.

Why will I be banned if the Albion discover what porn Taybha has been watching? Now that does seem unfair.

Just saw this post, that was what I thought it may be too. The kid deleted the post immediately it seems. Totally over the top reaction imo. Education, warnings etc fine but we seem to absolutely love banning people. Very sad state of affairs.
