Despite a few people slagging him off earlier in the season and the fact he could of easily been released pre season, i think he has been very solid over all this year and is keeping a few very good midfielders out of the first 11.

Much respect to him in my opinion and hats off the Poyet for recognising his strengths to feel he was worth a contract.

He seemed to get a bit upset from what he read on here months back but he always tries to give his all.

Looks like our slagging off has gave him a kick up the arse and made him perform. Maybe we should do it to all players if it gets the best out of them :)

Nav was very good tonight. I've been one of those that have called for Razak to replace him but credit where credit is due he has played a top game tonight.

Up untill about 6 games ago i could not understand how he was keeping his place in the team, but recently have to admit he is doing very well just wish he would try a few more shots at goal instead of passing out to the wingers.

I can see why you may think that but i guess part of his remit is distribution to the wide men and to be honest he often gets missed in the praise because of the flair we have in other areas

He does, very effectively, exactly what Gus wants him to. Breaks up play & move the ball. I remember reading threads a few months ago slating Navarro & some of the Culprits. Good on Navs for upping his game & making certain individuals eat those words. One things for sure he's playing the football of his life at the mo

I am still gaining an understanding of our passing style - but one thing about Navarro is that he understands the game and lets players know around him what we should be doing at different points in the game. He is a old-fashioned Midfield General.

When Alan first came here, he was overweight and he wasn't the type of player we needed. But since Gus has taken charge, he has been superb. The injury against Northampton, didn't help very much. But since then, he gone from strength to strength.

Slated him until recently. Seems to be getting more involved now with more purpose. I think since THE king of SPAIN has been playing, a few others in the team have upped their game. A good understanding between Vicente, KLL and the Ash man is developing. Good news all around.

I thought Navarro was excellent again last night, most improved player of the season by far I would say, hardly gives the ball away, can play quick incisive passes, and tackles very well giving excellent cover to the defence. One of Gus' first names on the team sheet I would imagine, long may it continue.
