There are probably loads of ex players/managers who will be guests at the Amex at some point, we have after all only been open for 6 months!

There was a big falling out when he was sacked after his second spell, I think Mullery felt he'd been stabbed in the back & vowed never to return. But I'd like to think times & personnel have changed & he'd be more than welcome now. He did say he's been, just not at the club's instigation- presumably Sky or something?

I just think the club should be asking him.

We've had (off the top of my head) Chris Cattlin, Peter Ward, Todd Carty (!), Norman Gall, Perry Digweed, plenty of others, but not the man responsible for the Albion's greatest achievement. It's an anomaly IMHO, and one that should be fixed. The man deserves his moment in front of the Albion masses once again.

For the official opening game against Spurs, I remember looking at the TV screens and seeing the Sky Sports studio with Alan Mullery as guest.

I was (mildly) appalled wondering what he was doing there rather than being in Brighton.

He does also work every match day, either for Spurs, Fulham or Sky

& that may well be the reason, but I'd just like to know. His absence so far feels like a rather obvious omission to me.

Alan Mullery is a great call.

There are plenty of other legends but really he is the one person I'd most like to see at half-time. If he does he should receive a standing ovation for everything he achieved.

Spot on Edna. Although I still struggle with the fact that he stuck Dean Saunders - one of the best strikers we've ever had at the club - on the left wing to create room for Richard Tiltman FFS.

That wasn't Mullery. Tiltman was signed and played in preference to Saunders by Barry '40 Bensons a day' Lloyd.

I wondered about that when I met him in December, he's not been asked to do Half time, he is not on the legends wall in Dicks Bar or outside the Amex

Really? I must admit, I've walked past the wall outside and just assumed he'd be up ther somewhere, without ever really looking. If he isn't, bearing in mind people like Paul Rogers Guy Butters and Charlie Oatway ARE up there, then that's an absolutely staggering omission by the club. Well, in my opinion anyway.

Even if he'd never got us into the First Division, he should be on the Wall just for THIS

I agree with the sentiment of the post. Just wouldn't personally want to sit next to the bloke. He is a tad annoying to say the least!!!
