My wife just sold me quite a good story about the couple that she has invited to ours for dinner next sat. I know the girl - she's really cool and he sounded like a nice guy too. Basically all was sounding good to the point where she had me looking forward to it.

Right at the end, she flummoxed me totally by casually announcing that he is a massive palace fan, not just an arm chair supporter (I know a few and some of them are good lads), he is a proper die hard palace man.

Dilemma. Do I wear my stripes and have my albion DVD collection running on loop though the evening or do I behave myself?

I'm sure you'll have a lot in common with a proper die hard football fan. Just treat him as you would any proper fan, much rather spend time talking football with a proper fan than an any armchair fan. He will respect you for that as well.

Make sure your drive is full. You won't want his caravan!
