Errr....Charlton have lost seven out of their last eight (or similar) I believe. Even a team made up of the combined ex-members of Bucks Fizz, The Goombay Dance band and Blue could beat Charlton at the moment.

Yup, I know, but going to their place could still not be straight forward - I just think there's plenty of potential for dropped points in their fixture list.

I think the bloke has gone from a quiet man at Scunthorpe, where he was just doing his own business. Getting them promoted to the Championship via Winners of League one or via play-offs. And not achieving very much in the Championship with them, now to a team who're so big headed and he thinks every game they start as favourites. I really hope they don't make it, I'm willing Huddersfield to do it.

I think Southampton have the best squad of players in our league and would be top if only they had a competent manager.

Out of interest , be interesting to see Saints points per game under Adkins.

Would probably see them in second and putting a bit more pressure on us

It would indeed, points accrued since Adkins took over=

1. Brighton 61
2. Southampton 57
3= Huddersfield 52
3= MK Dons 52
5= Peterborough 50
5= Bournemouth 50
7. Leyton Orient 49

to have equalled us in terms of results over the last 4 games is a pretty good achievement so they're still snapping at our heels and I still consider them to be a threat in some way.

Except they haven't equaled us having won 3 out of their last 4 compared to our 4 in 4.They are now 3 points further from "snapping at our heels" than they were on the last day of february

I rather like his comment - "it is really tight at the top of the league with only a couple of points separating all of the top six". Perhaps you ought to check your table again Adkins! It's tight between 2-6 where you're all scrapping for the second position SCC probably thought they would achieve by right.

That said, I don't think he's anywhere near as bad as people make out - if he didn't come out with inspirational talk and insist on the possibility of doing as well as possible (ie overtaking us) he would be unpopular with the fans, as would any manager at Brighton.
