Apparently that 4000 figure for season tickets sold in the Argus the other week was WAY off the mark, and the actual figure is closer to 2500.....

Club source, might be bollocks, no reason to suspect it isn't though...

Just reading that article on season tickets in the argus though, and the only club quote is:

Albion managing director Ken Brown said not all last season's regulars had renewed but added: "There will always be a percentage who wait for a while. Our mood is one of cautious optimism."

It's not true

We have already outsold last year by quite a few according to Insider

i didn't renew mine last season because money was tight and it looks like i wont be attending many games this season either and as the credit crunch and the winter fuel bill hit the mat i think it will really affect attendence this year too.

That thread was a month ago or so and already we had sold more for this season than last season.

Try emailing KB or MP direct to get clarification i guess

But is that meant to be up at the same point last year?

Crikey, I think we can wait until the first league game for 'clarification' it's not that interesting really. But i'm sure someone will ask on Thursday night anyway.

Anyway - IF true, it adds pressure to Adams SPECTACULARLY, particularly if Wilkins was really only sacked because he'd lost the fans. Of course, it will be the credit crunch to blame though!:D

Just what the club need, people asking them how many tickets we have sold.

I would guess at the Bristol Rovers game, we will get a good idea on that.

Not long to wait then.

And i guess next time one of my customers asks me a question i might just take that attitude

I think pretty much every year the club says season ticket sales look like being up.

Don't see why they would suddenly change tactic in the year the sacked a decent manager to try and tempt people back...

I expect attendances to be roughly the same if not lower - especially if we don't start well. Withdean fatigue and a fear of the credit crunch will no doubt play a part.

I for one cancelled my season ticket because I was disgusted at Dean Wilkins' treatment.
