But just to recite what I was told at the end of Adams reign at Leicester.
Pearson walked into the guvs office,Adams had his head in his hands and said I dont know where it went wrong or what to change.
If MA is at this place here,then please go while we have a chance of staying up.

I get what you are saying, but i believe that he has made those changes he needed to make to get the team out of trouble, (new players) but in return, i would expect the fans to give those changes a fair time to work (which doesn't seem to be happening and therefore unfair, like Wilkins sacking imo)

Wilkins sacking will always be brought up unless we challenging for title, which for most fans is a fair point, 7th to relegation candidates when the manager has had more cash to splash than most in recent seasons, and 2 transfer windows to build his squad.
MY worry is Virgo has had 2 crap games at RB and been changed with El Abd when too late,before he put in his natural/best pos at CB tonight. Livermore was awsome against Leicster playing out of poss but then dropped.
My biggest prob with MA is I dont think he has any idea what his best team is, or formation.

What evidence is there from this seasons performances to make anyone think that Adams, White and Booker have the skills to get us out of this mess? None whatsoever!

I cannot understand the argument for Adams to stay which most of the reasons too are that it takes time for players to gel, he will get it right in due course.

If you look at our performances over the season, I haven't seen any significant improvement. We still do not score or create enough chances; too much reliance on our midfield & the defence has gone backwards.

Sorry, but Adams & his cronies have to go.

I will be at Millwall - I pay my money & yes I will be a 'boo' boy if Adams is still in charge.

After last night's league results we are falling further & further into the dire.

I think the board should back Micky publicly for the next 3 games at least with a target of 7 points. He deserves a chance, he is passionate and cares for the club. What would be the point of bringing in another manager who does now know the players now.

This is an interesting thread, I'm actually encouraged to see quite a few NSC posters still backing Micky. What put's me off posting or even visiting NSC these days is the predominance of short sighted, illinformed bullies who seem to prefer negative nihilism to any kind of positive thought. So, it's nice to read a thread that isn't all about insulting people - with the exception of some regulars who fit the above description.

I feel that Micky has not been given enough of a chance to bed in a team that can do something in this league but I reluctantly agree that if his spirit is broken, and quite frankly the haste to condemn him by some prominent idiots on NSC has probably contributed to that situation, then he should make way for a replacement manager who will be similarly morally assasinated by the blockheads on NSC when the team does not meet their totally unrealistic expectations.

If this was any other name than Adams, he'd have been gone months ago, we all know that's true.
So, do we REALLY need to accept relegation, as a nice 'old boys network' way of saying "thanks for the good times, we wouldn't have had those years of success without you there to guide us".

This is a business, and we've been left by managers before, in THEIR quests for a step up. Taking a step down as a tribute to one who did just that, doesn't read as something we fans really want to do. And apparently, this club should be there for the fans.

Part of the problem this season has been fans expectation level, some demanded that we beat last seasons (lucky 7th IMO) finish and when we didn't have a great start to our home campaign, instyead of supporting the players, manager etc, and trying to encourage them on, they chose instead to heap more pressure on them, to highlight every mistake, and generally destroy any confidence or belief the manager and staff were trying to build.

I would bet that had negative McGhee still been in charge and we were in the same boat, the moaners wouldn't be on his back as he would still be trotting out his "the players arn't good enough tripe" and they would be lapping it up and agreeing, cos its far easier to create a scapegoat rather than try to actually lift and motivate players lacking confidence, something Adams has got alot of stick for this season.

Seems to me that too many of our supporters have become too politicised, they have to have a hate figure, (LDC, FPC etc) someone to fight against, but since the ground has been approved and work has started, there focus has shifted to elsewhere, be it a player struggling for form when returning from injury, (Hawkins) or Adams for failing to be top after a couple of games, having lost the ability to have any patience what so ever, afterall, a season is 46 league matches not 5, in the same way during a home game, if we go behind after 10 minutes, its not all over, we still have 80 minutes to turn it around, which sums up todays society where everything has to be instant.

Withdean is far from ideal, but we only have a couple of season left until we have our new home so patience is needed and we should try to make the best out of a bad job.

We are not relegated yet, and with the support the fans can give the team and with a win or two under our belts, the confidence will return to the side and we will improve greatly and climb to safety.

Sorry, but that's just wrong.

He is just not the man or the manager he was first time round.

For what it is worth I think that Adams should have been sacked after we lost on Boxing Day. But he wasn't, the transfer window has been and gone and I like the look of the players he has brought in. I am still decidedly less than happy with the football that is being served up, but I think it would be utterly pointless to sack him now - basically because there is bugger-all time to get in a new man and for that man to have an effect.

For what its worth I think we'll scrape to safety now the distraction of the cup is gone... and in this dire season that'll be a highlight!

Hmm, I should have said "has been served up" - I was actually quite happy with the performance against Peterborough which is why I said I liked the look of the new players. I missed the Carlisle match as the exhaust fell of my car en-route so I can't comment on the performance then, but I would suggest that the cup was probably on the players minds - and now they shouldn't have any further cup thoughts to distract them from the more important task of staying up!!

And yes, I don't think a new man would make a difference... it rarely does.
