"I'm a Sheffield boy, I played for the junior team, my mum, my brother and sister are based in Sheffield, Port Vale are doing great - I'd be disappointed if I wasn't linked with it. "

Arrogant git. He'd dump Vale in a flash if they asked him, same way he couldn’t get to Leicester quick enough 1st time round here.

He would be a disaster at Sheff, his methods were proved way to outdated for League 1, imagine how found out he would get if anyone was crazy enough to give him another crack at the Championship...

Can all those abusing Micky just go and do one?
Yes he cocked up second time around but is it necessary to be a sheep and keep having a dig? FFS remember him for the first time around...

It rather sums up the man doesn't it. There isn't much cause for integrity in professional football but if it is to be found it won't be anywhere near Micky Adams.

I think he has every right to be interested. Who wouldn't want to be linked with their home town club and if things take a turn for the worst Port Vale, like Brighton will quickly show their "loyalty" to MA

Have to agree with JTM some really fickle comments here, from people who were probably happy enough to celebrate with MA during the good times.

You sound like the sort of top 4 Premier League fan who whines because you've lost two games in a row

I am geniunnely GOBSMACKED at the upturn in MA's career. I honestly thought the game was up for him, after the absolute GOATFUCK that was his second spell here. Baffling selections and baffling tactics, compounded by baffling too-late substitutions were the order of the day. He was SO shockingly bad, that if somebody had suggested he was deliberately trying to lose games, I wouldn't have questionned it.

Don't begrudge him his current success one bit, but am amazed by it.

the term goatfuck is a very underused adjective, but sums up perfectly adams' second spell

he'll always be a good basement division manager as he proved with us, fulham and now at port vale. its when he gets any higher than that that he tends to get found out. can't believe after the total messes he has made of any job outside of league two that a championship club would seriously consider him

Has he ACTUALLY been linked with the job, anywhere other than in HIS OWN QUOTE?

He was lucky with Zamora first time round. IMO, he's never been a good manager. I was so f***ed off when he came back. Hope that clears up any confusion; we don't all love him as a manager.

I'm really surprised that he appears to be in with a real shout of getting the Blades job. He was perfect for the Albion first time around, but a disaster second time around, and I think he'd be lucky to last a year in Sheffield. That said, he's doing OK at Vale but there's only so far you can take a club like that and it's not ideal being there when neighbours Stoke are doing so well.

I think people should think twice before laying into him though. He got us out of League 2 and built that League 1 side that also went up as champions under Taylor so deserves a bit more respect than he's getting here.
