I think Virgo and Kuipers are both equally to blame, there was no need for Kuipers to lose it with Virgo, as it was his fault aswell, shouting did nothing to their confidence.

No not at all.

If your 'keeper shouts you to leave the ball as he's got it, but you don't listen to him, and it costs the team a goal within one minute of arguably the most important game within recent years, then you have to be blamed.

Virgo can't play right-back
Virgo makes to many mistakes at centre-back
Virgo can't play right-midfield
Virgo can't play in central midfield
When required Virgo can be a presence up-front, and when we are chasing games he is useful (Cheltenham away), so therefore I think he should only be used once every so often when we are chasing games.

Listen you MUGS.

Kuipers did NOT call the ball. He gave no indication to Virgo that he was coming to clear it. Virgo didn't know he was there. So had to run over and try to clear it.

I'm not saying Kuipers was soley at fault, but it was largely his fault for not calling it. Virgo could have done more, though, yes.

If you see the TV recording you will see that Virgo was shaping to kick the ball into row z and Kuipers took his leg away. 100% Kuipers fault, the commentator even made a comment when he made a hash of that clearance later on saying ' who will Kuipers blame this time'.

I thought FDM had claimed it, given he was coming all the way out for it, and his reaction afterwards. Virgo's reaction also shows that he thought he was in the wrong.

Although, if you are right and FDM didn't claim it, then that has to be the fault of the goalkeeper.

I don't think its an issue of whether it had been claimed or not. Whoever's right to the ball it is, you DO NOT prevent your own player from playing the ball.

1, if Kuipers doesn't come for the ball what's gonna happen? a striker on a bad pitch with two defenders near him will have the ball pretty wide of goal, the problem is only caused by Kuipers coming out
2, It didn't look or sound or appear that Kuipers made any call, and as he serious communication problems i'd suggest he didn't or if not anywhere near loud enough
3, If he's decided to go for it, he has to make sure he clears, ball, player and anything else rather than airkick

Come on Micky, everyone can see how SHIT Virgo is.

Time to drop him, not from the starting XI but the whole squad.

He is such a liability, as was proved after 50 odd seconds.

I'd rather have Hawkins playing in the team ahead of him.

He may be versatile, but he is shit.

Virgo = :bigwave:

. . . . and RM Taylor = C UNT of the highest order.

Adam Virgo will you please take a touch and find a pass within a range of ten to twenty yards, instead of hoofing the ball 50 yards down the pitch to nobody in particular. Oh by the way Mr Virgo, is there somewhere in your contract which says "If I'm fit to play, then the manager has to pick me whatever the circumstances?"

After the goal FDM clearly makes a sign to Virgo implying he wasn't listening to the shout. Later on , to be honest Kuipers was wrong footed as he didn't have much time to clear because Kebab knocked it back too strongly.
