It was frustrating as everytime Elphick and Virgo had the ball you just knew we were going to lose possession as Forster had no chance of getting the ball from hoofs.

Yes, Virgo overall was terrible tonight, bar a cracking penalty as usual. But their goal was mainly due to Kuipers coming (whether he had called or not) and knocking Virgo off the ball, just as he was about to safely clear it.

i'd imagine due to kuipers' reaction to conceding the goal that kuipers would've claimed the ball

Agreed, if he called and Virgo heard it.

Vice versa, as a keeper if you have called for a ball and it looks like a player hasn't heard, but WILL comfortably clear it, do you still try and bundle him out of the way to get YOUR ball?
