I wonder if people will ever stop peddling the Norwich gag, the Owen gag and the Kanchelskis gag on these threads. Do they still think they are humorous ?

Perhaps someone could start a poll?
(I would but am technically deficient)

The sick note label can be used harshly. It can just be very bad luck and 2 long injury lay offs of a year each for example. Just because Ings was at a ‘big club’ it gets magnified. I could be wrong, but remember him being a regular for Bmuff back in the day. Callum Wilson was injured for ages when Bmuff first got promoted years ago but seems to have been a regular since. Not everyone is Darren Anderton or Vicente...

Exactly. It's really only because he had a very long time recovering from a particularly bad injury, in his prime, that people associate him with injury issues. He's been fully fit for a good couple of years now I think. Not only are we going to get a very very quality player, but also one who has unfinished business and probably cannot wait to get regular football again. I think it's a brilliant acquisition, could make a massive impact for us next season.

Just putting it out there, but surely the club's recruitment, medical and scouting departments would have taken any injury/fitness into account before going after him? ???

Incorrect. They pick a good player and then read NSC to discover any issues.

They also wait for the journalist and agent accounts with 50+ followers to reveal the wages and go with that figure.

You just took the words right out of my mouth! From all the garbage spouted on here anyone would think we weren’t one of the most professional set-ups in the modern game!

I totally trust the club on this one and if he passes his medical and agrees terms I can’t wait to see him pull on the (non) stripes next season

If, IF, he sings I wonder what the largest thumbs up there's been, if everyone give BG's first post the thumbs up and retire the thread to gold
