thats ok I know your credible, was just wondering whether i should look on club site or argus etc...

The Argus does mention he has an injury to his left knee. (the same article where DW denies any move for Craig Fleming)

The caring sharing Brighton fan.

We cant afford to carry someone who is constantly injured. Not with our budget. I mean, there is unlucky and their is constantly injured! If this is true, and its another serious one, get rid. It's obviously reoccuring!

It's in a different knee so how can it be reoccuring?
I would like to see the specialist doctors report before consigning Mr Hinshelwood to the scrap heap.
How do you think we can attract players to the club with a policy like yours?

In what has been a pretty crap season, that has got to the worst news of all.

please dont be true.

if he hadn't got injured that first time he'd surely be in the premiership now.

what a sad, sad, sad state of affairs.

Sorry it is true.

Only promising thing is they think they know what is causing it (in both knees), although I'm not sure what can be done to stop this happening. Sadly it is a family weakness.

My view is the club should stick by him. He's a young lad who deserves some loyalty. Rather see him supported properly with the hope he will get fit one day, than some aged 36 year old like Kitson paid a year for nothing.

The absolute pits if true (and to be fair this doesn't look like a wind up).

Awful, awful news. What will the club do about his contract which I think runs out at the end of the season?? He's had numerous knee problems, and knee knack is something that tends not to go away, even if he does come back.

I think we have to give him at least one more chance, renew his contract for another season.

Well I think he is well worth the risk and is worth supporting, but I think he is one of our higher earners and I'm not sure the club can afford to carry him.

Of course you wouldn't let a player go if he was able to play in the future!

A policy like mine might attract players! By releasing the ones who, as sad as it is, seem doomed to the treatment room. This would free up wages to bring in players on free transfers. As said on another thread, it's rarely the fee thats the problem, its the wages.

I feel that we have a moral duty to continue paying him while he is injured and give him the chance to come back again.

I agree completely. Cruciate ligaments used to finish footballer's careers but with modern surgery and physio they come back as strong as ever.

Yes it's bad and yes it looks like Hinsh is not going to escepe the injuries. However I agree with LI, give him a one year-contract at the end of this year and see how it goes. If he's still injured then we'll have to get rid.... no matter how painful it is.
