I am not saying what Adam El Abd is alleged to have said is right but do you think an 11 year old has not heard far worse at school.

I was talking to a customer in a pub when I did a relief and she told me that she was a teacher of 7 yr olds and at least once a week she is told to F.Off bya pupil in her class, not always the same one.

So do we in society try to rectify it or accept this slipping of morale standards?

I would have had the hiding of my life from my father if I had used langauge like that. even as a 15 year old.

How standards have changed!!

I would have had the hiding of my life if I had dared do a hand signal like your avatar. I don't know any 11 year olds that use Nsc but I do know a 12 year old that does.

Then I should talk to his parents, because some of the threads and pictures that are posted here are for adult viewing only.

There isn't any '18' warning.

Maybe Bozza should have one?

Ah, irony ha ha!!
If the Albion had been so lightweight and one of the team willing to shirk tackles 45 years ago, the fans would have mumbled "oh well mustn't grumble!":jester:

El Abd would have been seen as the new Glen Wilson.

Adam is one of the nicest blokes I've met from the Albion.

What a storm in a tea-cup!
Yeah but don't allow reality to hit NSC.
Lets all live in a happy clappy smiley sporting world where there's no effing passion or swearing. Peter Alliss (Mr Golf) would have an orgasm for starters.

I was privaliged to see the great Glen Wilson and never in all his career did I see him have a go at fans.

Hard man but a gentleman was our Glen.

But society has changed in some ways for the worse. Younger people are less stiff upper lip than those born in the early fifties like myself. I saw Glen Wilson play but never met him. I have however met a few players from that era whose language was pretty ripe.

Actually Mona you started me thinking of players in those days that really took stick from fans.
Players Like Georgie Waites, Tony Nicholas and Teddy Maybanks were turned to jelly by the fans, but I cant honestly remember any of them retaliating to the crowd.

The thread does raise an interesting issue in the light of the FIFA 'Respect' campaign.

Fans demand respect from players, yet often none of it to players, opposing fans, officials, management and staff of the clubs.
