Dunno why Dalglish was celebrating anyway. Liverpool have all but ensured Man U will overhaul their 18 titles in a couple of weeks now, whilst his team picked up a meaningless point towards their tedious amble to 7th place.

Speaks volumes about the integrity of Dalglish and his players. Imagine if they'd allowed The Arse to win-we'd never hear the end of it from Taggart and the Manc fans.

The blame lies entirely with Eboue anyway, what a complete tool.

I fear for him.
I went to a match at the Emirates a couple of years ago when they played West Ham. Eboue wasn't having a particularly poor game by my reckoning, but he was getting DOGS abuse from the stand almost every time he touched the ball. Then he got cut in half by a challenge and after some lengthy treatment on the pitch, he was eventually subbed and stretchered off.

They cheered.

That would have been music to my ears. I'd have cuffing LOVED it.

I don't think the players care as much as we'd like to think about that sort of thing. With the exception of the local lads- Carragher, Gerrard on the occasions he's actually fit, Spearing, they're not born and bred Liverpool fans, and they only care about their own results, not some ancient rivalry over the number of titles won.

Easy: I think that Arsenal game you refer to was quite well publicised. If it's the one I'm thinking of, Eboue could not put a foot right all game, everything he tried turned to shit as soon as the ball entered his general vicinity, and most of the crowd cheered when he was subbed, resulting in him leaving the pitch in tears. Felt very sorry for him actually.

Has Dalglish got the job beyond the end of the season? If he hasn't then I'm sure he wants to do as well as possible to make sure he does.

Thats not the one I was at. He was stretchered off injured at the one I attended, not subbed due to his performance.

I do remember hearing about the one you refer to though. Just illustrates the fact that the fans there have it in for him - they'll openly celebrate him leaving the pitch however it happens !

He's not been given a contract beyond the end of the season - yet. Hence his "this is the best club in the world" comments. The scousers will lap all that up, there'll be riots up there if he's replaced.

He's in a great position isn't he? If they win games, he's a genius. If they lose games, it's not his fault and he can blame Roy Hodgson.

I heard Micky Quinn on the radio last week, talking about the relative attractiveness to a player of Spurs as opposed to Liverpool. When someone suggested Liverpool had gone backwards this season, the fat twunt said something along the lines of "Now they've got a proper manager in charge they're a far bigger draw to players than Spurs".

"A proper manager"? How grossly insulting to Roy Hodgson, a decent man who was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. What the hell has Mick Quinn ever achieved, apart from being one of the fattest players ever to play professional football, who spent almost his entire career bouncing around as a journeyman striker in the old Second Division. And this is why Liverpool still aren't pulling up any trees, because their one-eyed supporters like Quinn are continuing to delude themselves that their failures this season are all down to Hodgson, and not to the crap squad of mediocre players that the saintly Benitez left them with.

I never understand a word Kenny Dalglish says. If he swore at me I would never know.

You and EK allow your prejudices to dictate what you say about Liverpool. Kenny Dalglish says it's the best club in the world because he believes it is-it's quite simple really. As much as you'd like it to be how you're portraying it-you know it isn't like that. Just the same as when Taggart retires-he'll be saying those same type of things.

Sorry? On this thread at least, what have I or Easy 10 have said that's in any way negative towards Liverpool? I had a dig at Wenger/Arsenal, and Easy might have thrown a cheeky "bindippers" in there, but I can't see what else you're getting worked up about. It's hardly insult of the century to suggest that Dalglish cannot possibly lose in his current situation?

Naah, Dalglish wouldn't be overly bothered about seeing Wenger getting pissed off, he just took exception to Wengers reaction to it.

However, I was AMAZED to see so many Liverpool fans leaping around wildly, given that they've just handed the all-important 19th League Title on a plate to their most hated rivals. Well done bindippers - Fergie is about to "knock you off your f***ing perch", but you rescued a point at Arsenal on your march to mid-table. Wooo !

They're still VERY much in the race for 5th place. 4 points behind us. Okay, 2 games extra played, but our 2 games in hand are against Arsenal (h) and Man Citeh (a). Liverpool HAVE to get Europe.

Are you more pro-Brighton, or anti-Palace? Surely the first..?

It was mildly amusing.

Maybe if VP hadnt run around for about 2 minutes after to goal it wouldnt have been added, even so they should have defended properly and till the end.

What so if there's 4 minutes added time and there's a 10 minutes stoppage in that added time an extra 10 minutes have to be played

Yes, that's the general idea?

Still struggling with that are you?

8 minutes stoppage time.

If there has been time wasted within that 8 minutes it gets added on-in this case there was an additional 4 minutes added to the 8 because of time wasted by Arsenal so that 8 minutes was played out over a 12 minute period.

It really isn't difficult to understand.

Your example is pretty stupid. There would only be 4 minutes played over a 14 minute period (including 10 minutes of stoppages). There would only be 4 minutes played. 4 minutes PLAYED. PLAYED being the operative word.

He scored a hat trick against Arsenal once, think it was on the opening day of the season.
