if anyone can make it to Lewes road P&R it is working well and plenty of spaces. A27 into Brighton from Lewes is shagged though!

How stupid can these people be? "Now let's see, we need to close a lane in both directions for 24 hours, I know, we'll do it when Brighton are playing at home."
no match on a Tuesday now for 3 weeks could the work not have started tomorrow is there any forward planning in this country
I think the forward planning went something along the lines of "A vehicle very nearly went through the barrier on Sunday. If we don't repair the barrier quickly, the next vehicle to hit that barrier will crash over the edge and could easily kill lots of people on the road below".

I was expecting much worse. 10 minute of queues at the arse end of the A23 but no probs on the A27 eastbound. No queuing down Coldean Lane either which was unusual. Normally bedlam on the rare occasion I decide to drive

Although it could have gone: "Barrier damaged and needs repair. Oh, but there is a massive footy match on Tuesday so let's fling up some temporary concrete vehicle barriers and get the repairs arranged for Wednesday thus keeping everyone happy and safe."

Up here on the left.

So why didn't they repair it then?
