It really is a beautiful game. Could be a killer app for the Oculus Rift too when that comes out.

If you like that whole 'discover the entire galaxy' vibe you might want to keep an eye on the hugely ambitious No Man's Sky too

yes! they used to fall down after you kicked them. simple but when you have a long line of them it was beautiful.

Just found you can download the game from iTunes App Store that's put pay to any work getting done today!!

Still got all my old consoles and in the middle of making my own arcade machine.

Here are a few standouts for me.

Alex the kid - master system
Duck hunt - nes with the gun
Streets of rage - mega drive
Mario kart, yoshi world - snes
Goldeneye - n64
Shemnue - dreamcast
Command and conquer - ps1
Luigis mansion - GameCube

There are loads more games I loved and still love to dig out every now and then, but these had a lot of hours spent on.

The Dreamcast was a BRILLIANT console. I got one the day it came out, although they sent me a faulty disc so I didn't have a game to play on it for about a week

I had a VGA adapter so I could plug it in to my PC monitor, the graphics were MILES ahead of any other console at the time, such a shame Sega got it so wrong with everything else.

the dreamcast was brilliant. My friend got it when it came out. It was the first console to have the unbelievable graphics we now take for granted (graphics! Sounds like a spectrum review). Some amazing games too.

Couple of thoughts - the Dreamcast was the last "beautiful" console. In fact, I'd say it's the sexiest console ever. All that power (for the time) in that box. Back when console aesthetics mattered.

not sure what it was called, but set in a castle, with up to 4 players, running about collecting weapons, food etc..

I remember one phrase 'valkarie shot the food. dont shoot the food".. i was crap at it, but good fun.

A BBC micro emulator has been downloaded and I've found Sink the Bismark and Soccer Manager.
