I have often thought that if boxing was not a sport and someone suggested it became one it would not stand a chance of being approved.

Head protection,,,,,nah no need for that, they are wearing gloves.

Male amateur boxers no longer wear head protection because there is more likelihood of brain bamage when wearing them. The reason being that the bicer absorbs more punches but the brain "swirls" inside the skull.

I do understand that but to me a sport where the quickest way to win is to knock them out by ultimately getting the brain to swirl around the skull doesn’t sound much like a sport to me and IMO would not be approved as a sport today if it was not already a sport from many years ago.

Jake Paul is an utter ****. Tyson obviously needs a payday given his past financial woes.

It'll obviously be scripted, but I'd love it if Mike ripped his face off.

This has been sanctioned as a professional fight but its quite different, with 2 minute rounds instead of 3 minutes, and 14oz gloves instead of the usual 10oz gloves which will reduce the chances of a knockout.

Im not fussed at all about watching the fight, but hope Tyson wins. JP is a bit of a dick (my boys used to follow him and his brother avidly on the socials a few years ago) but he has become a competent fighter over time tbf...so who knows how it will go.

If JP loses, at least he can collect his money and get looked after by his gorgeous Dutch speed skater champion girlfriend, Jutta Leerdam....
