A question about Man Utd

Why is it when Real Madrid go after their best player in the press they cry about it to UEFA, make official complaints and cry even more

Yet when they do it about players in other teams that they want, its perfectly acceptable??

They are doing it with Berbatov, they did it Hargreaves, they did it with Saha and they will continue to do it no doubt

It pisses me off they have their own rules which can help them rule the English game

seriously though , it's probably because almost 100% of the time when Man Ure poach a player the player wants to go and the club normally can see teh benifit of the money.

With Ronaldo its jsut a stalemate hence why it's gone dirty.

Similar thing happens in our league when you get a stalemate ie Ashley Cole , it just doesnt happen often to make a thing about

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Tottenham | Spurs report Liverpool & Man Utd

Tottenham have complained to the Premier League over Manchester United and Liverpool's pursuit of Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane.

Berbatov has long been linked with a move to United, and Sir Alex Ferguson's public comments that he expects a deal to go through have infuriated Spurs.

And the north London club take a similarly dim view of Rafael Benitez's discussion about a move for Keane.

"Their behaviour has been disgraceful," said Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

He accused United of "unbelievable hypocrisy" after they recently complained to Fifa about Real Madrid's attempts to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

More to follow.

Don't get me wrong i'm not sticking up for them, but they have actually put a bid in for him, rather than making it known they are interested waiting for the player to stick up a fuss, hence bringing the price down.

Spurs report Liverpool & Man Utd

Tottenham have complained to the Premier League over Manchester United and Liverpool's pursuit of Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane.
Sir Alex Ferguson's comments that he expects a deal to go through for Berbatov have infuriated Spurs as has Rafael Benitez's interest in Keane.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy singled out United boss Ferguson for criticism.
"It is unbelievably hypocritical given his comments in respect of Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid," Levy said. More to follow

You can add Van Nistelroy and Crap Stamm to the list above, both have admited that they had interest from the Scum before they were on a transfer list.

On the flip side whenever the best UK club expresses an interest in a player add £3 million to the value.

Same story when WENGER effectivey poached Anelka, was made to pay less than a million to PSG, then MOANED when he said he wanted to go to Madrid despite making 20 million QUID on the deal.

To be honest I don't see what all the fuss is about. Manchester United just can't accept there is a bigger fish in the pond. Ronaldo has won all he can at united, had a couple of amazing seasons, swept the board at the PFA etc awards.

Why shouldn't he be want to try his luck somewhere else? Especially if they want to pay him a SHED load more money.

Hate those northern monkeys more than Palarse - they think they are above the law.

Dock points

Whole heartedly agree with both of these comments.

They are the highest scum in football.

They should be docked 30 points and lets see if they commit the same offence again next season - I very much doubt they would.

f***ing cheating wankers.

Obviously the FACTS spoil this anti-United ranting thread, but as has been pointed out United put a bid in for Berbatov, Real Madrid have done no such thing for Ronaldo. Which makes all the difference in the world.

If Spurs have got a gripe it is against Berbatov's agent, who hasn't stopped publicly trying to flog him for two years.

But it really is about time everyone stopped whining about all this. Players go to bigger clubs, end of story. Always have, always will. Bostock goes to Spurs, Berbatov goes to United.

The difference with Ronaldo is that you'd be hard-pressed to make the case Real Madrid are currently a bigger club than Man U. Although clearly Real don't realise that yet.

I think a poll of European fans would make Madrid a much bigger club in most of their eyes. Many more European cups, bigger crowds, more renowned players, nicer place the list is endless. Madrid will always be bigger than United as are Barca and A.C Milan imo

How often do United get chosen by world class quality players in preference to any of the above teams? United have made a play for people like Ronaldhino and a host of other big name players but they've ended up in Madrid, Barcelona and Milan. Ronaldo was grabbed at a very early age by United, I doubt he'd even have considered them if he'd made his name beforehand.

The FACTS are that Tottenham have stated that Berba is NOT FOR SALE and any requests for his signature are unwelcome. He is still under contract to Spurs so they are entitled to do that.

ManUre have just thought "f*** the rules, we never play by them on or off the pitch anyway, we'll just put loads of shit in the papers to unsettle Berba a bit more and then maybe life at The Lane will be too uncomfortable for both parties to bare.

ManUre the the biggest hypocrites in world football and should be docked serious points for this blatant disregard of the rules.
