Yes that's what emulated means.

From 2017 we've only equalled or done worse than 79-83. If we stay up this season we'll have done better. If we finish 12th or win a trophy, even better than that.

Our success under Bloom has been in terms of facilities, long term development and player loans and all that is good, but in terms of results it is not the most successful period in our history. Not yet.

I am well aware what 'emulated' means. The post said we emulated earlier achievements except for not as champions of Division 2. That implied we won Div 2 in 1979 when we didn't. We came second in 79 and second in 2017.

It gives me no pleasure to criticise the club or the management. I have supported the Albion for 52 years and I always will.

Sorry if this has been asked before, quite frankly I can't be arsed to read the whole thread.

I was just curious as to why you have claimed to be a supporter of 52 years when your profile on here states you were born on July 8, 1985, which would make you 35 years old. Your profile also states that your first game was on the 1st January 1992.

???

Edit: Skimmed through, Bull Shit about it being his dads point of view. WUM looking for bites, got it.

Perhaps he means 52 years old. That would mean his first Albion game was at age 24. Maybe he has a ‘main’ team elsewhere ?

Edit; forgot the date of birth thing. As you were. He means his Dad I think.

I find it hard to disagree with much of what the OP says. But I feel it also needs to be set in the context of where we’ve come from. Even though we’ve been at the Amex a few years now, every time I go there I still wonder how we got there from the Gillingham and Withdean days and the long drawn out death of the goldstone. Like all of us I want the current team to improve and succeed, but I’m also just thankful that I’m watching probably the best Albion team I’ve ever seen ( in 57 seasons).

Thanks for your thoughtful response, which I read aloud to my dad.
He completely endorsed your view.
Cheers

You need to tell your daddy to be more balanced and less negative.
