I only got one A Level pass out of three subjects taken .... BUT that was in 1964 .....

On reflection it hasn't done me any harm in my career.

You only have to look at Wilko as far as teachers go.Now what pupil could ever get on with him.Unless you're about 16 good looking,ok you might qualify on that score but you're female.

Serious question, why did you take General Studies? Why does anyone take it? Why is it even on offer given the general contempt for the subject?

Well put BAG.
I've never done A levels, but I suffered alongside my four kids while they were doing theirs, so I know from experience how much blood sweat and tears are involved. So, congrats to you and everyone on NSC who got their results today.

Congrats Laura. I am the same as Trish in the fact that I didn't ever take A levels myself but watch my daughter slog away and get hers.

She went to Nottingham Uni so if there is any advice you need then let me know.

(just an aside, she left Yorkshire to go to Uni and met a bloke whose Dad was living in Patcham. She married him (the bloke not the Dad) and ended up in Sussex :lolol: )
