f*** right off you pleb!!!

lets have a dig a mr popkins as he has spelt a word wrong!

really some people.

all im saying is people should think about going to uni before wasting 3 years for their lives!

Poppers, my remark was a bit tongue-in-cheek - that's why I used the smiley.

Actually, I agree with you, far too many people go to uni...but that's cheaper than finding people real jobs and providing real training, isn't it?

And of course, academic staff like El Pres are then over-stretched catering for the increase in numbers.

I got three C's which got me to Brighton Uni so I am very happy.
Congrats Matt. But just remember - many of us on this board will only be happy when they start serious demolition work at Brighton University.

:)

My ABDD got me down to Sussex to study for an ology. Best thing I ever did. Don't get drawn into the world of work too soon.

After years of working, I now value my ology even more.

Re: Re: A Level results

Go to uni. It puts off work for three years and all you do is get pissed.

It really pisses me off that every year the average A Level grade goes up.

This is only because people are choosing, and being encouraged to choose, wank subjects like Media, Pyschology, General Studies, IT etc etc.

Everyone should be made to do at least one "traditional" subject.

No doubt I will see some pissed up dappy blonde tonight celebrating her 3 As. :drink: I will be impressed until she tells me they are in Media, Pyschology and General Studies. Or some Gnvq.

Still, results day is the best night to go out on!

Fully booked.

Don't go on a plumbing COURSE, serve the apprenticeship through an employer. No college and about £300 a week.

People, don't waste your time with A-Levels. You can just say you've got straight A's on your CV like I do, no one checks.

But if you get a job that is relevant to your degree you can earn higher wages than someone without a degree and soon be on mega money

I dunno what to do

Go to university if you can.

It has taken me 20 years to earn good money if I'd gone to Uni which I could have done I'd be on twice the money I'm on now.

I don't think you've done too bad.

Put it in perspective - you may have not got what you thought you might get but you have done them and got some results - a lot more than many people ever achieve.
