How droll

Left-wing people care so much, it makes them hate people who don’t show that they care. These people are right-wing people. Left-wing people have given them a name. It is “Tory scum”. Left-wing people like to shout at the right-wing people and tell them that they are scum even when they aren’t listening.
Shouting at the Tories is another way to show that they care. Caring is very important to left-wing people.
Left-wing people care so deeply that they don’t have time for thinking and convincing. They use their precious time for shouting about caring.

I thought so too

Could you imagine the sparks coming out of Bushy if they did a right wing version of this.

The dig at comedians and panel shows at the end gives away the author's real agenda. Nobody has invited him on HIGNFY and isn't he gutted. Horrible lefties getting all the good jobs while poor old Andy Shaw has to write 'You couldn't make it up!' pieces that, whilst not having anything funny in them, do make Spectator readers smile by pandering to their prejudices.

He should try writing in a clear and concise manner to make his point. Not using the same words over and over like a rambling 'Tory scum' drunk at a bar.

Here let me review the article for you:

Pile. Of. Shitty. Drivel.

Is that article meant to be tongue in cheek?

If not it only strengthens the argument that real journalism is dying. What a ridiculous article. You could find and replace working class and put 'immigrants' and then regurgitate it claiming to be about the right wing.

It's hardly surprising. It is written in the Spectator by someone you would imagine is under 10 and sulking. Rarely have I seen such a pathetic article (although maybe article is too strong a word for it)

Left wing people don't like articles parodying left wing people

I'd be amazed if anyone of a right or left persuasion, found anything amusing in that 'parody'.

Because right wing people love being parodied, don't they? As others have said, parody is fine if it is funny. That wasn't funny in any way and the fact that anyone thought it was worthwhile sharing it on here is concerning for them.

Another example of people not understanding the difference between liberalism and leftist and adding to their catastrophic sense of humour failure (the article, rather than people on this thread).
