theres more than an element of truth to it, particularly the opening two parts and the "I care" culture, were you must show that you care about things alot or else you are inferior/heartless/nasty. its not funny as such, they could have made the point in a less condesending way. main problem is, as [MENTION=1320]Notters[/MENTION] says, its probably misdefined its target too so misses.

It is amazing how many people really, really can't cope with people having different political views to them. So they result to puerile epithets such as leftie, pinko, Commie, Nazi. And it does seem to be more prevalent in more further right wing view holders. Seriously take a look at what you keep posting and if you can't see it makes you sound like a 9 year old then there is something wrong with you.

The only thing anyone is offended by is the crime perpetrated against our national sense of humour.
Offended? It's just not very funny, that's all. Then again, my politics are not particularly left wing.

It's in the Spectator- a magazine which supports the Conservative and was once edited by Boris. What do people expect? They're hardly going to talk about the merits of socialism.
I can see the writer is trying to be funny and ironic but it just isn't. It's just irrelevant, a bit like The Spectator itself!
