The other day I was really in the mood to watch the 90s football thuggery film ID, but was convinced I no longer had it on DVD. I thought I'd take one last look for it, and I found it. The joy! Did a little fist pump, it was like I'd won the lottery (well, £4.90 for 2 numbers and bonus ball).

Had only ever seen clips from it before, watched it a few weeks back and glad I did, what a great film.

And followed it with,
12 Angry Men
To be fair I hadn't forgotten how good it was it was just a chance to remind me of that.

Shutter Island didn't like it when first out but enjoyed it this time around.

I seem to remember thinking that I wouldn't have a clue what was going on if I hadn't read the book.

I watched The Gentlemen again. (I know its recent but it's still good).

Watched Back To The Future last night and will watch The Departed tonight.

I want to give this Gangs of London a go soon as well but need to finish Hunters first.

Recent perhaps but Star Trek - the JJ Abrahams version.

The best re-boot out there I think.

Quality casting and solid screenplay. But I am a sucker for an origin story.

Pretty much all the Tarantino films - though admittedly you shouldn’t watch any of them immediately after a meal.

I'm probably being facetious.

Watched Hidden Figures last night. Brilliant film and I might end up watching The Right Stuff for the first time as well because of it.

Master and Commander is on the list to be watched again as well.

Midnight Express, I only saw it once before, a double header at the cinema with Taxi Driver.
I went to see the Taxi driver, but, Midnight Express was superb, can't understand why I waited so long to watch it again.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. WHAT a film. The ending is sheer cinematic perfection.

Apparently Clint Eastwood held up filming at one point till he received his £250,000 fee + Ferrari.

Arrival

Manages that really tough but exquisite combo of being a complex film full of ideas, that also holds hefty emotional weight. I’m a big Nolan fan but this knocks spots off Interstellar imo.

I remember going on a date to the movies to watch reservoir dogs. I had raging flu and sat through the whole thing sweating and sick. It was horrendous. That was my third viewing but it's never been the same since.

I should try again....

..... Maybe if I get Corona virus. [emoji3]

One that I will probably have to order on Amazon unless I can find it in the cupboard is 'The Bounty' with Anthony Hopkins. An absolute classic.
