The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. WHAT a film. The ending is sheer cinematic perfection.

Apparently Clint Eastwood held up filming at one point till he received his £250,000 fee + Ferrari.

Have you ever checked this lot out Easy, there's a lot of them on YouTube, I think they're brilliant.

The Business.

Fantastic scenery of Malaga in sunny Spain. Some great actors including Geoff Bell as the very unpleasant Sammy. 'Even his nightmares were scared of him' - a terrific one-liner.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Very clever and very funny.

Wonderful film, actually enjoyed it more than Life of Brian (with the possible exception of the Latin Lesson scene, which brought some horrible memories of Sir John Deane's Grammar School flooding back) and certainly better than The Meaning of Life.

Sky have had some of my favourite films on of late and I've watched them all again, some of them twice:

Not sure they're my bag tbh, but I do love the old spaghetti western theme tunes. I used to have a vinyl album of them all years ago, but must've lost it somewhere in a move. The Ugly soundtrack is glorious, not just the main theme either. Loved The Magnificent Seven soundtrack as well, stirring stuff.

I just loved bits like the Michael Palin peasant character describing how Arthur became king (by taking the sword from the lady's hand which emerged from the lake) as "some aquatic ceremony with a watery tart". and that after he had asked where Arthur was king of etc, and he commented: "Well I didn't vote for you!"

Watched Hidden Figures last night. Brilliant film and I might end up watching The Right Stuff for the first time as well because of it.

Master and Commander is on the list to be watched again as well.

I thoroughly recommend "The Right Stuff"

Watched the original Flight of The Phoenix the other month, much better than the remake. But with the cast who starred in the original it's not surprising.

And another film I'd forgotten about, the superb 'Ice Cold In Alex', watched it last year but hadn't seen it for about 15 years, what a great film.

We watched Lock Stock..... last night and am now following up with the documentary on youtube.

I haven't forgotten how brilliant this film is as I much have watched it 100 times.

Still really enjoyed it though.

'Tin Men'. Love the film. Features great performances from Richard Dreyfuss, Danny De Vito and Barbara Hershey. Music by 'Fine young cannibals' and stunning American cars abound. One of my all time faves. Will also watch 'The Goodbye girl'. Dreyfuss at his absolute best. A real feel good film for these c**p times.
