I know there have already been threads about where we were in the league this time last season, but I've compared the games we've played so far with the results of the same games last season. Obviously some of the teams have changed, so I've had to replace, for example, Norwich with Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds with Plymouth etc.
Swindon A Lost 2-1 / Won 2-1 = +3 points
Rochdale (using Stockport result) H Lost 4-2 / Drew 1-1 = +1 point
Sheff Wed (using Norwich result) A Lost 4-1 / Lost 1-0 = 0
Walsall H Lost 1-0 / Won 2-1 = +3 points
MK Dons H Lost 1-0 / Won 2-0 = +3 points
Carlisle A Won 2-0 / Drew 0-0 = -2 points
Plymouth (using Leeds result) A Drew 1-1 / Won 2-0 = +2 points
Oldham H Lost 2-0 / Won 2-1 = +3 points
Brentford H Won 3-0 / Won 1-0 = 0
Tranmere A Lost 2-1 / Drew 1-1 = +1 point
Bournemouth (using Southend result) H Lost 3-2 / Drew 1-1 = +1 point
That's a difference of +15 points! And it's no surprise that 11 of those are from home games (I hope the Withdean "hoofers" take note!).
We are top of the league and trying to play good football. Long may it continue.
Thank you Gus.
