I don't disagree with you at all, but it's quite interesting how that is gradually changing. The club has 27,000 home tickets to sell for the Forest game. They went on general sale (after STHs, Albion+ etc) with around 3,000 left and 24 hours on there are just 500 left (mostly difficult-to-shift singles).
That suggests they probably got the pricing pretty much spot-on.

If they'd gone for, say, £40, I think there'd be a lot more remaining right now.

How much info do we know about the 7% not renewing?
Well, 7% of people send their kids to private school. And the Telegraph and Times keep telling us how hard it is for these people that they now have to pay VAT on school fees. So maybe they can't afford to renew their Albion season tickets

Because they priced it right?

I'm one of the non-renewers, sadly.

Can't justify it right now, don't get to enough games, and whilst I love the actual match experience, I do feel like everything around the top level football-going experience is slowly becoming more and more of a faff, travel is pretty awful, and yeah. Bad fan, I know.

I suspect when I'm retired/kids are older, I will be going to a LOT more games, just how life is atm.
Exactly the same here.

My 24 year old is coming with me to Man City tomorrow., he lives in Manchester, i bought him a ticket a while ago. Yesterday i bought my 22 year old a Palace ticket.
One of them did buy me a cup of tea once but you're right thats about it. ha ha.
My 24 year old actually bought my ticket (and his) for Saints away, as he was the one successful in refresh-the-ticket-site-roulette. I was expecting him to ask for the money, but he's never mentioned it. So that was nice.

Given that I have paid for his season ticket every year since 2006, not to mention many away trips, including Ajax and Roma, I guess that makes us about 'even'.

Wow how generous !! I would suggest that if a season ticket holder dies, he/she won`t be going whether ticket cancelled or not !!
In fairness, cancelling the ST is only one option. The second option is a move to the East Upper.

So as someone who is looking to upgrade from Albion+ this year to a hopeful STH, does anyone know if information is available yet as to how many spaces are available in the safe standing zone?

I find going to football an almost selfish thing to do when I have a young family at home. It's a tricky balance. When a game is moved to midweek, and I know the kids are asleep anyway, it's far easier for me to go.

I am renewing, but I wouldn't be against sharing a ticket with someone at this point. I'm finding it harder and harder to get to Saturday 3pm's.

I've gone from a semi-regular at away games to none at all for a few years.

It's all about priorities and family comes first.

On a wider point, inflation has been brutal recently. People are having to make hard choices on their finances. 93% renewal is excellent IMO, all things considered. A season ticket is a large monthly expense and a huge luxury.
I appreciate not everybody can afford to do this. When my kids were young I got all 3 a season ticket and took them away a fair bit so the wife got a lot of Saturdays free to do whatever she wanted.
I also play golf and took the 2 boys to golf from 10. No whnging from the wife until I was up there 4 times a week in the summer! 😄

Four years ago I didn't renew after having a pair of tickets since The Amex opened. A combo of reasons - travel, other demands on time and a bit of a health issue. I grabbed a ticket for this season and have renewed for next. I missed it, despite the challenges of travel etc. I'm a bit of a Billy No Mates in my WSU seat but nothing beats being there when we score. Frustratingly I'm about to start chemotherapy so not sure I'll be there again this season. Back for August though (I hope!).

That’s why you’re not Bogey Boy then?

Mansfield Woodhouse, actually.
And, yes, I've said it many times myself - if I had to pay for my two season tickets as a lump sum once a year, I simply wouldn't be able to renew. I'd revert to picking and choosing games. The direct debit scheme, with no addtional fees/interest - is fantastic for many thousands of us.
If you can afford the direct debit then you could afford a standing order into a high interest regular savings account. And why would anybody expect to pay interest to the club when you are in effect paying months in advance for any named game?

Haha sounds great!

My two girls only have a passing interest in the footie, although it's definitely building. Sadly we're not quite into season ticket territory yet.

The water is further muddied by the wife actively WANTING to spend time with me, which all things considered, is probably a good thing :D

I renewed, but the train travel is soul-destroying.

It’s every Albion fan’s dream to just walk over from Falmer Village.

Something i have not seen discussed on this thread is that, with no waiting list, if not a lot of albion+ members or others take up the unrenewed 7% of season tickets then there will be more for the club to shift before the exchange will open. This will probably mean that there will be a reduced chance of selling a listed ticket.
Apologies if this has already been mentioned and i have missed it.

I think it depends on if we get a Europa or even CL place…demand will definitely go up if so
