How many of you went to the match? Year we lost, but we played bloody well except for the first 20 minutes. We should have won the match, their keeper was exceptional and Muzza missed an absolute sitter. Get over it.

Nail on head

I must admit by the 20 minute mark I was concerned about how many goals we were going to lose by but by the end I was scratching my head wondering how we never got anything out of the game. Colchester can count thenselves very lucky to get 3 points tonight.

When a team goes two up in 15 minuts away from home they often sit back and settle, that is why we keep getting back into games after going behind. Sorry folks but relegation zone at christmas after spending how many millions in two seasons is not good enough. No point shooting the messenger. Its not Poyets fault, its Adams, and Slade's fault. Poyet has to buy better

Played well after El Abd went off. Murray miss was a shocker - esp since he did so well to roll the defender to make the room for himself. Could easily have had a draw out of that game. We out played a top four team for 70 minutes. There is hope.

Jamie - how many millions do you think we have actually spent? Probably less than a mill in total. Get a grip.

I dont think Colchester could be accused of sitting back tonight it was more a case of them being forced back from the moment McNulty came on. In regards of the team I dont think we're more than 3 or 4 players away from having a good side, I agree Adams signings were pretty bad but Slade has laid the foundations for Poyet to build on and if he can start bringing in the players we need in January there's no reason why we cant start to push on a bit.

completely agree - A good performance today, a very entertaining match we could have won 5-2 if it wasn't for their keeper and the woodwork. We were very unfortunate not to get anything from the game, especially as we put them under alot of pressure in the 2nd half

We will be fine this season, just be patient. There is nothing to suggest that we can't finish in the top 10 by the end of the season, after all there are still plently of games left and plently of points to be won.

We are starting to pass the ball around alot more rather than hoofing it, we are creating good chances so there is no need for all the gloom and doom merchants to be so negative

Thats just not right mate, both Slade and hoofer adams had very competitive budgets. Plus we spent heavily in the close season (total figures escape me, but others have tallid it up before, plus as we all know its not just transfer fees its what ou spend on wages for players on a free that counts). We have a chairman putting cash up and the only point is that Slade and Adams failed to produce a winning team. The cash / results ratio is abysmal. Poyet has a go now and hope he succeeds and he will be judged on the team after he has spent. That is all.

We were not good ebough to take our chances, we missed some sitters which is just as bad as the defence making howlers.

Poyet will be judged after the transfer window in Jan and his buying summer. Adams and Slade both bought badly as results showed and they rightly got the sack. Lets hope Poyet does a little better in his buying as its a bit dreary all this cash being thrown down the drain to be in the third div relegation zone

How about you wait til after the transfer window shuts before writing us off and coming out with this nonsensical dribble. Quite clearly you don't go to games but base your opinion soley on results, which can be misleading.

I don't think we have to bring in that many new players in January. Gus hasn't had very long to work with and improve the side but we are already seeing an improvement and we have been playing the teams at the top of the table which is always going to be tough to get a result from, therefore I believe we are close to being a good side in this division, and with a bit more luck and fewer injuries to key players, we will rapidly climb the table.

Well said. Some people really need to get a sodding grip (or actually go to a game & watch what's happening on the pitch). Sake. :nono:

Utterly disgraceful.

Season ticket holders deserve a 50% refund.

Half the team need to leave in the January window (at least)

Ticket prices need to fall by a third (to get more punters into the ground & to create a better atmosphere)

And Sussex Radio stop talking the players UP during matches when they are having a poor game

Well at least you don't pretend to go, before spouting your negative shite any more.
watch the game , then tell us what you think.

so its Adams & Slades fault because you don't like them
But not Poyets because you like him.
How have we improved since Slade went?
We all want Gus to be Successful but to take another swipe at Slade is just uncalled for.

But thats football, or have you forgotten? Every team will miss good chances, every defender will make a mistakes over a season, (there goals were not from mistakes tonight) no matter who they are or what league thet play in.

no one is perfect every game and tonight just wasn't our night in front of goal, another time we may only have 3 shots, but they might all go in

Tonight just wasn't our night in the same way that we were fortunate to get all 3 points at Exeter, Colchester were lucky that they got all three and may have left empty handed but for the woodwork, their keeper playing a blinder and making some excellent saves, Murray being offside for a goal we had ruled out and some shots that were off target - the more chances you make, the more you will score and we are making chances.

...But for the woodwork they could have had 3 goals not 2 :p Quality overhead kick that hit our bar

Seriously though, I agree totally that on another night Murray's sitter that hit the post would have gone in, plus several other chances that we had too.

Anyone who is moaning about tonight either didn't go to the game or is just a negative miserable twat, because we played some really good football and Poyet's sub decisions were flair of the highest order.

If we were doing relitiveley well this season you could gloss over tonights performance. But we are not we are in the bottom 4 in mid December so Im looking at it that context.

2 home wins all season is crap and I for one dont think being done again at home after giving the game to Colchester in the first 15 minutes is anywhere near acceptable.

We had some chance some clear cut and we missed them! Because again we were not good enough.

I think that Gus has improved our general play and given the transfer window he will see us ok. Since Wilkins left we have gone terribly backwards and it will be another season until we are probably back to where we were when he left.

I enjoy every game I go to and allways get behind the team.

Just because I express an opion on refection after the game does not make me or others a misserable twat.

Good for you.

I certainly don't enjoy every game I go to. I've witnessed some truly shocking performances but tonight was certainly not one of them. I really enjoyed this game, despite the final result.

You are of course entitled to your opinion. So am I, and tonight's opinion held by me is that those moaning about tonight's performance are indeed "miserable twats" :p
