Being a poptastic junior in the early70's what great glam rock bands. They don't make them like this anymore. Whoses your favourite ?.

Had to go from Slade - some great anthems, my favourite being " Cum on feel the Noise - superb.

Also The Sweet - Teengage Rampage and Ballroom Blitz, pretty damn fine, Oh the memories !.

In London village.
And the man at the back said everyone attack...

A fairly accurate description of the North Stand in the 70's...:D

shouldn't really admit to this, but I was a big Gary Glitter fan -

had a huge poster of him on my wall.

Having said that, he probably had one of me on his wall

I was born in 1981, but love 70s music..so I voted. T Rex all the way, my mum nearly gave birth to my brother at a t rex gig in brighton..would have been quite a cool intro to life halfway through 'Ride a white swan'.

Glitter had to be included as his back catelogue was very good and he was one of the major forces.

'D'ya wanna be in my gang (oh yeah), was the first single I ever bought. I was only nine so I can be forgiven but I loved his music at the time.

I think that we can rule out Mud, BCR, Rubettes and Showaddywaddy can't we? I never really saw Wizzard as glam rock - Roy Wood was a top bloke though, and The Move I liked also (but hated ELO - basically Wizzard without Wood?).

Gary Glitter was pretty good - loved Rock and Roll Parts I and II, but gone off him now for some reason.

So for me it's between The Sweet (top marks for offending my dad on TOTP - "That's a bloody Woman!") Slade, best xmas song ever, but T Rex gets it for me. They were the biz. Bolan was camper than Safeway and a true superstar, and IMHO the most talented and charismatic of the lot.

In my defence, I was left unsupervised.

It should really be T Rex but I voted Slade, however they weren't really Glam Rock as they were a bit too blokey. They just had a few visual references to it in some of their stage clothes.

Voroshilov - Good call, but it was 'Sparks' not 'The Sparks' - like it's not 'The Withdean'

Has to be T-Rex, I'll always remember where I was when I heard he'd wrapped his mini around a tree - in the living room as it happens.

There are certain things best left forgotten, Glam Rock is a prime example.
