I voted for Sweet, perhaps it's because I've got a Little Willy!

Saw Sweet, Mud and Glitter Band at the White Rock in Hastings abot 6-7 years ago. Glitter band were shite , Sweet were pretty good but Brian Connolly was in a bit of a state, he died not long after. Mud were really class though.

All the Glam bands were great fun, I get pissed of with todays bands taking themselves so seriously. Music should be fun!

I really love your Tiger Feet!

You know the dance, you've done the dance!!!

In the absence of The Wombles and The Wurzels, it has to be The Sweet.

T-Rex were always too girly - all that sparkly eye-liner - too wierd for me in 73.

Has to be Slade - seminal 70's

Er.....and Slade didn't wear make-up ?? I musta mistaken another band with 6 inch platforms, feathered hairdos, glitter top-hats, light blue eye-shadow and feathered jackets that looked 7 sizes too small.

You can't fool the Children of The Revolution - TRex were great at the beginning. Hot Love, Ride A White swan, Metal Guru, Jeepster, Get It On, Elemental Child, Life's a Gas, Raw Ramp, Lean Love.......

I have to say, Supergrass owe a huge debt to Bolan, they sound almost exactly like TRex!

Err where's Bowie and Roxy Music? Well up there with Marc Bolan
in the Glam Rock stakes, just a lot more class than any of the above.

Has to be Slade. They were THE GROUP in 1972/73.

First concert I ever went to.

Saw them twice in Brighton, as a young teenager.

First time they were accompanied by Suzi Quattro and Thin Lizzy.

Second time, Alex Harvey.

Great Nights.

Gary Glitter was my favourite back in the day.
Went to one of his 'gang shows' at the Brighton Centre once. If we'd known then what we know now eh?
In a way I feel sorry for those pr*cks who'd dress up in all the gear for his shows, chanting "leader, leader". They probably put up with a fair bit of stick from workmates & family for being Glitter fans in the first place. Then the revelations come out. They must've felt double foolish.

I,ve seen glitter and he does a fantastic show just makes me feel angry and sick now when I think of what he has done.

Hey Buzza,
I was at both of those concerts too !
I think the Slade/Suzi Quattro/Thin Lizzy gig was about £1.50 down the Top Rank Suite around '71 and with Alex Harvey (RIP) at the Dome about '73

That's right Coach.

I was down the front at Top Rank by a speaker. I was deaf for two days. My brother didn't get his hearing back for a week!

Great concerts and Great support bands.

Great shame about Alex Harvey and Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy).

I was slap bang in the middle of the dance floor at the suite and my ears were still ringing at lunchtime the following day ! Happy Days !
