Should these tanks be banned from town centres? Or school runs when you have an 8 seater for one kid? Or heavily taxed? Or do you like them on our roads?
zefarelly said:wheres the 'you can only buy them if you can justify the requirement' option ? ? ? ie if your a farmer or you live in an inhospitable place ( that doesn't include Whitehawk, Mile Oak etc )

Around here its the vehicle to get for the black caribbean families, though they tend to get the real cheap models, which have as much off road capability as a scaletrix car,
As you all know I cycle around London and these 4x4 can be bloody dangerous as the drivers and the size of the vehicled protrude into the cycle lanes.
I think only a tax on fuel guzlers is fair

Eddie the Seagull said:Yes. I've been driving for 18 years - currently a 14 year old Escort XR3i Cabrio. Why do you ask?
chip said:Just curious. I hate Merc/BMW/Lexus/Porsche 4x4s as they are not pukka.
I own a disco that we use for pulling a horse trailer and taking large groups of children around, it is safe. Don't drive it often though. One of my other cars is a 2.8i capri which is much more fun and 20 years old.
