The over I've just seen from Rabada to Compton looked very uncomfortable.

Desperately need the Captain to see off this new ball.

The pitch has livened up considerably today.

Saves me posting something very similar, Broad tends to get brain fade but shouldn't his Captain be having words?

It seems that Cook is a bit loathe to have words with Broad but equally Broad should know better. By all means use the short ball but only as a surprise delivery or softener. Broad should be well aware of this especially as they were playing his short stuff with comfort. Maybe Broad has got too big for his boots ?

Pitch looks a bit lively off a good length. Hopefully the ball will fade is the next few overs.

Poor old Cook is in desperate form recently. Badly needs a decent innings.

We look in big trouble now - lets get to the break without further damage

That shot from Compton was shocking - please he got away with it, but they need to dig in a bit

Lunch, Day 2

England 27-2 (13 overs), trailing by 286 with 8 wickets in hand.

Compton 2* (30) Root 2* (12)

Dream start for Hardus Viljoen... 150+kph, pace and bounce, enough movement to beat the bat, and the prize wicket of the England captain. Pressure on the England batsmen.

South Africa's session. England need a big comeback in the afternoon.

AT least we made it to lunch with no more wickets - they were killing us. Lets hope we regroup and defend until the ball dies a bit without any more wickets
