I love the way that Cameron in his speech talks about the previous government meaning the Labour one that finished in 2010, the clueless BUFFOON has forgotten his coalition government that he led up till a few weeks ago when he presided over the present increase in figures.

The coalition government doesn't count because Dodgy Dave didn't get to run the country the way he wanted to. The net increase in immigration between 2010 and 2015 is all the fault of the LibDems.

Leeds - but not the dirty bit
But English isnt the minority language in the vast majority of towns and where it is - it would be mostly down to the large amount of foreign tourists/students this country gets.

But still, keep spouting crap to fit your agenda.......

Agree / disagree / not crap, no agenda, just comments with no bile or vitriol. Please continue with yours, hopefully nicely.

I refer to my post above yours. 26% of our doctors are foreign nationals. 11% of the NHS are immigrants. Not all immigrants come in on zero hours contracts.
As for appointments, I can ring up or call in at my local surgery at 8.30 and get a same day appointment or a telephone appointment every single day. I've never had a problem. If you do, then exercise your right to change surgeries.

No, I just simply don't agree with you is all.

You don't agree with a post that is setting out facts?

Cameron is going to reform the EU as we keep being told. The EU has said time and time again that there will be absolutely no reform on open borders, it is not up for discussion. When are people going to listen. It will be 300,000+ next time, and the time after that and in another 4 years we will have another million people in this country.

If you don't agree on the numbers then your only option is vote to get out of the EU, which is what I will be doing.

What do people expect? We have the strongest economy in Europe so people are going to look to move hear and be part of that success!

What we have to realise is that there is no point in including the european migrants here in the figures...what we must do is look at migrants from the rest of the world and make sure, like the Aussies do, they are sufficiently qualified to work here.

We must also work out how we are going to take our fair share of these poor unfortunates from the Middle East by our illegal war in Iraq that has destabilised the region, and has led to mass refugees from war torn countries.

So what. We need the migrants. They are a net positive benefit to our much maligned economy. They prop up many elements of our society. Not sure whether to laugh or cry seeing retired pensioners getting upset over this when it makes absolutely no difference to them.
The trouble is, the lefties will tell you that immigration is necessary to look after the ageing population. Again, there is truth in that, but not on the scale and quality that we have seen since 2000. I have no trouble with limited numbers of hard-working, educated immigrants who want to become part of our culture. What we don't want are the uneducated scroungers, illegals, asylum seekers and muslims.

The CBI and British Chambers of Commerce are rubbing their hands with joy. The increased flow of EU migrants arriving suits them down to the ground. Minimum wage and zero hours contracts for the masses in a race to the bottom.
And then they wonder why our productivity is shit in this country. Is it because there is a limitless supply of cheap labour from abroad meaning no need for investment in production methods?

the EU is a stitch up in favour of big business. Allowing them all the cheap labour they want while the crown has to pay for the social fallout of mass immigration.

Every sweet Lithuanian waitress working in a pizza express paying taxes while a Welsh or County Durham girl is allowed to sit on Jobseeker's Allowance is a disgrace.

immigration and benefit dependency are two ends of the same stick

Well if like me you think of it as unsustainable in terms of culture, services and the actual size of this island to absorb such high numbers, then this is perhaps why so many people switched to UKIP and probably many more might have if they accepted the Tories cannot control its own borders whilst within the EU.

However can you imagine if we had a Labour government there would be very little inclination to even set an aspiration to reduce numbers, I would always ask pro immigration posters at which rate would you feel it necessary to restrict those coming to us 2m, 3m 4m, 10 million, its unlikely you will get an answer because they then morph into Nigel Farage just further upstream.
They always claim its to provide for our aging population, what's the definition of a Ponzi scheme? What number does it all implode at?

We do indeed migrants but this increase means building a city bigger than Brighton and Hove EVERY year. Controlled imigration from everywhere is required to give the UK a chance to at least provide the infrastructure.

Immigrants are a great way of dealing with the aging population problem, because a decent proportion of them (I don't have the numbers to hand) move back home later in life - so they come here, work (contributing to the economy, paying taxes, etc.), then leave when they get older/retire. It's a major reason that studies show that they have a positive impact on the economy - because they don't become a drag on our public services in later life.

I would'nt disagree, but at this moment in time they cannot even repair the holes in the roads
