what about the happy snapper who took the photos ?
No witnesses turned up at court,ie the people who took the pix,(from what i am told),case dismissed.

yep ,stop taking young kids and women to football matches
This particular case is a ban imposed by a magistrates' court upon a criminal conviction. I think it's mandatory (I confess I haven't read the legislation for a while) for courts to impose a FBO for anyone convicted of a football related offence. If you'd been convicted of whatever you did in a court, you'd presumably be facing the same penalty, if it were deemed a football related offence.
whoosh that one went over your head , you asked a question i repliedDo you just go through life trying to stir it or what? to be honest your contribution to NSC is zilch all you do is make comments hoping others will respond in a way that it will kick off.
Now if you have nothing sensible to say on any of the threads, just don't bother, it won't be a loss I can assure you.
i wonder why they got cold feet ?No witnesses turned up at court,ie the people who took the pix,(from what i am told),case dismissed.

no doesnt affect my work, just think the whole thing is ridiculous, i know people have their opinion but even the most anal of people must realise that 3 yrs for effectively swearing at a football match which is full of emotions is over the top. after all it aint a library, and if u read section 5, i didnt really cause any alarm, distress or harrasment to anybody.Daveyboy. Does this affect your work. If I had such a ban, as a Staff Nurse I would be in serious trouble.

It has to be in a place where someone is LIKELY to hear or see it & be caused harassment, alarm or distress, it doesn't have to be proven that someone actually was caused the same.
If they believed you had a particular intention to cause someone the same, it would fall under S4A of the POA. Just FYI, like.
I guess for whatever reason, somebody nearby deemed you to be standing out from the crowd, to be somehow audible above whatever other people were singing or saying. Were you warned about your behaviour prior to being arrested? That would be the typical course of action, after all anyone can have a momentary lapse & should get the chance to apologise/ calm down (whichever is applicable). I'd rarely nick someone for S5 POA without at least giving them the chance to wind their neck in first.
So, I'm the only one having flashbacks to southern sid?
I 100% agree and sympathise. The Guardian today (7th Dec) have an article about how intolerant we've become as a nation now. A three year ban from football grounds for saying **** is an absolute classic example of Britain's modern intolerant society.no doesnt affect my work, just think the whole thing is ridiculous, i know people have their opinion but even the most anal of people must realise that 3 yrs for effectively swearing at a football match which is full of emotions is over the top. after all it aint a library, and if u read section 5, i didnt really cause any alarm, distress or harrasment to anybody.

All very sensible. But when crowds involved there is always the possibility of pandemonium or panic. Different rules apply.

I expect the supporters of the seventies will have experienced crowds out of control, notably at White Hart Lane.
