Am I supposed to feel sorry about this (or indeed care at all)?

Just spent 20 mins composing a response to this, but have now deleted it all.

You sir, are an a**e. If you are the football fan of the future then you are welcome to football. :tosser:

Or argue that you were in fact, mentioning famed German philosopher Immanuel Kant, and accusing them of having sexual relations with him and his family. In an Essex accent.

You're all f***ing (Immanuel) Kant(s). No judge in his right mind would punish you for being good at history.

Do you want to be informed of every prosecution for every crime therefore? Go and get a copy of UK Laws 2011 if so. Personally, as a tax paying citizen, I merely expect people to be prosecuted for breaking the law when they're caught doing so. I don't expect to be informed as such of every possible offence and the associated penalties. I just know that the forces of law and order are doing this on by behalf. And that's good enough for me. If I was THAT interested I'd probably be practising law. I don't understand why you think people will care someone's been caught swearing and the law that's in place to deal with such an offense has been exercised?

Dinlow. The bloke is an Albion fan and this is an Albion forum. Him sharing his greivances is not doing you any harm. If your that upset about having to hear about it then go and read another thread.

Try reading your words out aloud. And come back to me when you've realised the irony of what you've said. I'm not upset at all. I'd say you've perhaps been drinking on the other hand?

Disagree. People should know that our taxpayers money is being spent banning people who swear at football matches. It generates healthy debate.

Your taxpayer's money is used quite regularly to deal with people found guilty of similar offences, under the Public Order Act. It happens every day of every week of every year. Read your local paper if you wish to be updated.

For what it's worth, and if you wish for a little guidance on the matter, I would suggest that the C word remains the last taboo in terms of language in this country. It's the only profanity that still has the power to really shock (unless you count little old ladies). Most women, myself included, don't use that term, and plenty of men. You can watch any movie and find any number of shits and fucks, but even NSC blocks out the word ****.

Some of you may not find it unpleasant, but what you have to consider is that a lot of people still do, and that is what any court will take into account. Make of that what you will.

The word 'minge' still makes me shiver. What a terrible sound. Just saying.

All I'm saying is that I think the cost of taking someone to court for shouting 'f***ing ****' at a football match is a total waste of money. In any other situation the offender would likely get a warning, then if they carried on it would be an £80 penalty notice. All done and dusted there and then.

:lolol:

You see now, the odd thing is, I have no real issue with other words describing the female anatomy. Minge or twat just make me giggle. Gash...hmmm...less so, not very keen on that one, I must admit. Tuppence, Noonie, Miffy or any other words people use when talking about such delicate matters with their kids: hilarious.

****, on the other hand, I hate, and I believe most women are the same. Funny how a mere word still retains the power to disgust.

Someone I know will more than likely be getting a 3 year football banning order for doing the cut throat gesture at Palace fans. I'm all for making football safer but some of the sentences are a bit OTT.

You're possibly right about the £80 penalty notice, providing the recipient is sober enough to accept it, but because of what's gone on in the past (for which you can thank those who spent the 1970s and 80s attempting to kick seven bells out of each other in the name of their teams) the law grants courts additional powers to deal with those who commit offences at football matches. And that is why this poster has been so disposed of.

I'd be interested to know whether he said it once, or was warned previously about his language at that game, as typically on the street, you'd expect to be warned about your language by a police officer before being arrested for it.

Harsh perhaps when taken in the context of many others are doing similar. That said, you broke the rules - that's foul and abusive language in anyone's book, the two most extremely offensive words in the dictionary used together (except perhaps CRYSTAL PALACE). And if Dave 1973 in the year of your birth, then really, you should know better. I'm being contentious, but perhaps you ought to feel some sort of shame for being a near 40-something that uses such offensive language in public rather than playing the victim on here? Sorry, but it looks like a fair cop from many people's perspective with only yourself to blame. After all, they don't lock up everyone for everything, only a moron doesn't realise this. And I'm sure you're not one so won't use this as a line of defence.

Superb answer!

You could stand in Churchill Square tomorrow and shout that at the top of your voice and nothng would happen. I feel very sorry for you.

Just to play devil's advocate, if a copper was walking past they probably wouldn't ignore someone shouting F***** C**** at the top of their voice. I'd probably give someone doing that a swerve too!

South Wales (im not welsh !!)
:lolol:

****, on the other hand, I hate, and I believe most women are the same. Fanny how a mere word still retains the power to disgust.

Strangely we have found it to be more of an undesirable word in more southern areas (and clearly I am talking "in the main") of course there will be many individuals who dislike the word (My wife and I included but we are southerners!) wherever you go, here in South Wales it is quite widely used by all walks of life as so in Sheffield where my son lives, I have had conversations with many people who are South Wales born and bred and many really dislike the word "Twat" a word I think is very mild, but the word in question is not so badly thought of by many, I don't doubt some will differ with me, but what I am saying is my experiences of the word.

I might add, and most who know of me on here, know i completely disaprove of the word or the near use of it on here, quite simply because the board is used by all, weirdly I do swear quite a bit in real life (within the right places and most certainly would not offend anyone, also have spent most of my life around building sites) but well "never say never" rarely use the word in question.
