I think this thread illustrates just how insane house prices have got in the south.

Sorry
You could try mid sussex, likes of Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath or Hassocks. Main line stations so easy transport links and you get more for your money.
is there a good half
Peacehaven could be worth a look too, 20mins on a bus into Brighton, got the tye near for dog walking.
I just bought a 3bed semi for £205,000 STC.
Only downside I see is that there is no train station there.
you live in kent, nuff said. if you are anywhere near Gillingham you really are having a laugh!!
Not strictly true is it?!
As I sit hear in my garden on a fine summers day looking out to sea and can barely hear the road noise from the A259!
15 minute train journey to the Amex! 2 minute walk to the South Downs, 5 minute drive to Seaford beach! Not bad for 'scummy' old Newhaven!!
Granted, the town centre is a dump and should be bulldozed but some very nice houses and areas within a couple of mile radius!
£300k would get you a nice 3/4 bed Det house/bungalow.
I was joking..... sorry if i upset you. I'm not one of the trolls, just enjoying the thread
not upset at all, nice to have you back! but do you live in or near Medway towns?
nice part of kent, I am from Brighton but would find it hard to move back as I find it far to busy now, Lewes is nice but very expensive house prices.nah, just up the road from Hawkhurst/cranbrook, we moved here about 10 years ago so our boys could goto the grammer school at Cranbrook and now we are looking to come back to sussex.
We used to live just outside Heathfield in a village called Vines cross but have decided to go abit closer to brighton this time

we live in a village called sandhurst. we have the rye road in front but only fields behind, great dog walking but crap for our lad with autism. That is another reason for moving.
so far reason are :- the boy, the club, mortgage free.. need so far:- dog walking area, garden and maybe goodish views
Haywards Heath loads of unwanted new houses being built on our boarders good train connections to London and airport two rail routes to Falmer or coaches. Relief road opening 2015/16 good schools PRH on doorstep . New Waitrose coming next year. Boarde hill gardens and near Nymans and Wakehurst and Sheffield park gardens national trust. Heart of Mid Sussex.
