monty sounds like he is bowling well, if they can snatch another one soon, I reckon they can roll them for about 120.....fragile tail

You have to feel a bit sorry for monty, another era he'd have played a lot more test matches but behind Swann he's not going to get many opportunities....

Nothing like a sorry as one might feel for a good Aussie spinner, McGill, who always played second fiddle to Warne.

Panesar is bowling well, but he must be the only spinner I've never seen actually turn the ball!

Fair point re: McGill.... But on your second point, did you never see the Wheelie Bin?

I love the King of Spain. I'll never forget watching on TV as Dravid, at the absolute peak of his powers in about 2000, was out stumped to Giles. Dravid had looked absolutely incredible, amassed about 150 and never looked like getting out, when miraculously Giles got one to spin quite a way, Dravid missed it and Stewart finished off the stumping. Giles looked incredibly apologetic.

A guy in my office has just told me he went to school with Monty, apparently he once got into a fight with a girl in a Maths class because she was teasing him but he couldn't remember who won the fight.

Just got back from the test, Monty was brilliant, bowled very well and was excited as a puppy with a new chewy toy when he took a wicket. Broad also batted excellently. First session tomorrow will be key and I am predicting a tight victory for England. The other brilliant thing was that it was free entry! result
