Nothing to really feel sorry for regarding Monty.

He was the spinner in possesion of the place in the team, but did not develop his game and Swann got the nod.

The move to Sussex has helped him, but Robinson and Davies have made him far more defensive as a bowler than he was, hence the lack of turn.

Just got back from the test, Monty was brilliant, bowled very well and was excited as a puppy with a new chewy toy when he took a wicket. Broad also batted excellently. First session tomorrow will be key and I am predicting a tight victory for England. The other brilliant thing was that it was free entry! result

Fabulous to see Pakistan making a proper come back. They have so many great cricketers and a great cricket heritage. It is very good news for the game as a whole.

I agree about Morgan - he is out of his depth and shouldnt get on the plane to Sri Lanka. I'd also like to see Twatto given an extended break to see how much of an appetite he has for test cricket.
