Ollie in for Potts.

Possibly cloudy but dry. Another good toss to win?

Feel a little sorry for Potts. He didn't do much wrong in the test series against India.

South Africa win toss and bat. Fascinating. "To get a win at Lord's was very special, but that's in the past now." He's picked both his spinners, so Harmer and Maharaj backed to boss that fourth innings. Marco Jansen misses out, which is a big call. He was a lanky terror at Lord's.

South Africa: 1 Dean Elgar (capt), 2 Sarel Erwee, 3 Keegan Petersen, 4 Aiden Markram, 5 Rassie van der Dussen, 6 Kyle Verreynne (wk), 7 Keshav Maharaj, 8 Simon Harmer, 9 Kagiso Rabada, 10 Anrich Nortje, 11 Lungi Ngidi

Ben Stokes said he would have had a bowl, so everyone's a winner. "The team ethos is bigger than the individual goal," he adds. "Keep trying to put their team under as much pressure as we can. We've got a chance here to come back stronger.

England: 1 Alex Lees, 2 Zak Crawley, 3 Ollie Pope, 4 Joe Root, 5 Jonny Bairstow, 6 Ben Stokes (capt), 7 Ben Foakes (wk), 8 Ollie Robinson, 9 Stuart Broad, 10 Jack Leach, 11 James Anderson

Broad has been terrorising Elgar... LBW shout, LBW shout, pushes it away from him and gets him edging to 3rd slip :clap2:

Dean Elgar c Bairstow b Broad 12 (42b 1x4 0x6) SR: 28.57

35-2

Broad strikes again! :clap2:

Broad to Petersen, OUT
Got him, this is terrific bowling from Broad! Hits a good length, angling in towards off stump, and Petersen's feet are stuck as he looks to defend this. Ends up getting squared up as the ball straightens off the deck, and he edges it straight into the lap of first slip

Keegan Petersen c Root b Broad 21 (29b 3x4 0x6) SR: 72.41

41-3 - piling the pressure on.

Poor shot from Markram... Stokes joins the party, half tracker, mistimed pull, Foakes back tracks to pouch it safely.

Aiden Markram c †Foakes b Stokes 14 (27b 0x4 0x6) SR: 51.85

68-4 (21.3 overs)

Lunch, Day One

South Africa 77-5 (25 overs)

Anderson 1-19, Broad 2-17, Stokes 2-6 and Robinson unlucky to be wicketless.

England's session by a mile.

The quality of batting in test cricket has probably never been lower. Credit to the bowlers for taking advantage of the conditions, but jeez, a whole top order can't get through a tough session. I know ours can't either.
